TRUCK HAVEN, CALIFORNIA
Written by:   Matt Adams
Trail ran:   January 1999
Vehicles in attendance:   Ford Explorers from mild to wild
Trail difficulty:   Varied. There is no "trail" you just go whever you want and hope you stay safe!

This was the first annual Truck Haven HIlls run in California.  People from all over the country came, but mainly from Arizona and California.  At 1200 miles I won the "furthest driver" award.  Truck Haven Hills is located near Salton City, by the Salton Sea.  It's just a giant four-wheeling playground, ranging from bunny hill to black diamond.  We had about 25 Ford Explorers as well as the pre-production Explorer sporttrac and a 2001 Explorer sport, and one Ford Ranger.  Had plenty of trails for the stockers as well as the guys with lifts and lockers, etc.
