Day One - We packed up camp and headed to the trailhead of Engineer Pass. This time we aired down my tires. Ahem. The landscape was great going up this easy/moderate trail. Then we found some mud, so we of course had to stop. Then we finally arrived in Animas Forks after following a convoy of slow jeeps. After checking out Animas Forks, we continued on. We had fun exploring the area and eventually ended up at Corkscrew Gulch. We found a nice lake to have lunch and play a game of chess. After our little break, we continued onto California Gulch. This is where I found out not to ride my brakes down a mountain. Needless to say at the bottom, luckily, I had none. So we decided to play another game of chess before continuing on our way.
Day Two - The day started at Yankee Boy Basin where we spent the rest of the day hiking and wheeling. This was a pretty good trip, no problems at all, except having to go back home.
