Awesome day on the mountain!

Sean's Bronco is down for engine work, so he and Val brought her new jeep

First, the stats:
18 stops for litter
7 ATVs
4 Motorcycles
1 4WD

These are combined from both FS 710 and FS 712.

Brant had a task for us before we got to the tailgate meeting. He was showing his (new?) boss the area and saw some tracks through the trees. He asked us to set some markers and see if we could drag some fallen timber across the tracks.

The user created path led to an awesome camp site where dispersed camping is allowed:

Too bad some moron had to try another path through the trees:

You can sorta see some tread marks; those are at least twelve inches wide. Fookin' MORONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Suffice to say, we practiced due diligence.

After we found this spot, the rest of the day went fairly well. We got to the summit and talked to some really nice ATV'ers.

On the way down, we stapled new club posters to the sign board. Sadly, my camera did not record that image. Hopefully, Val's pictures came out.

Throughout the system, we saw Green foliage...

and responsible land use.

The next day, the Colorado Chapter of NAXJA was represented by one XK, one JK, and one XJ.

I was hoping Sean had more pictures/videos to upload.

Haha that's awesome! Is there some way those of us who cant make the trek can help out in the future? (Funding or whatever else)... thanks for helping/doing all you do for us/this trail.

Dannon, I often wonder if there is something else I can do to make the trek worth-while for members who have extra drive time.

I woke from one of my grumpy-old-man naps and realized Sean had sent pictures for me to post.

When we were setting the posts, I broke the hole pounder. Yes, it was fixed before returning it. I even "proofed" it on the stony soil of Kingston peak.

After we had the post set, we exercised our supreme stickerin' skillzzzzzzzz...

After years of watching the club poster fade and deteriorate, I was able to put up new posters. I felt a special sense of pride in following up what others had started, and maintained.
