I know a lot of people are religously changing their own oil, myself included... but I know a lot of people probably get their oil changed at other places like Jiffy Lube, Grease Monkey, etc.
If enough people were interested a lot of these oil change places offer "fleet" discounts, and we could possibly get registered as a "fleet". Let me know if your interested!
I use Econo Lube N Tune. It's on 120th and Washington. In the past, I've been very strict, and wouldn't let anyone touch my truck, but with absolutely no time to do it, I had to find somewhere to go. I talked to a few of their techs, and they seem pretty knowledgable. Now I just go buy my own oil, and take it in to them, and they get it all done for $18, including disposal, the oil filter, and labor. I don't see where they could start skimping to get down to cheaper than that for a fleet discount, but I'm always up for saving money.

I go to Valvoline. They know me by site and am very happy with their service. You can also pull up your account online and check to see what work has been done at certain times and mileage.
That sounds cool. I keep track of all of that in a MS Access database. Along with all of my gas fillups, mods, etc...

Before the diesel, I went to valvoline. Like Jeff said, they keep a record of whats been done, and I've always used valvoline oil. Now that it takes 15 qts. to change I stock up when its on sale and do it myself. The drain plug and filter are super easy to get to on this truck too.

Well I checked into Valvolines fleet service... not really happy with the way they do it, basically they have it set up like a fleet probably would want it but not the way I want it... They just have a master account and everyone says they are in this fleet (after fleet commander gives proper authorities) and then the bill goes to the commander. They don't pay individually and get a discount, LOL.

I went to Valvoline yesterday and I think they are stalking me. As mentioned above the recognize me whenever I'm there. Yesterday one of the technicians came up to me and asked if there was specific reason why I no longer have BFG T/A's. Every time I go in there they notice things I change on the truck.
It was kind of funny, a lady brought in a late 80's model Celica. I was listening to the techs and they said the car was leaking everything everywhere. One of the techs went to remove the drain plug and the whole was covered with teflon tape.
Sounds like she went to Grease Monkey last time.
Back when my wife was driving our Camry, she stopped and had the guys at Grease Monkey change the oil. Well, after I calmed down about that, I had to check everything out of course.
Well, I come to find out that they had somhow not tightened the filter quite right, so it leaked a bunch of oil, and of course splattered all over everything. After much arguing, they finally decided to reimburse me for the flubbed oil change, but wouldn't do anything about the oil I had to replace, nor the cleanup.
Needless to say, I nor anyone else in my family has ever been back to that, or any other "Blankenship Grease Monkey". I even refused to work with a lady whose last name was Blankenship, just because the sound pissed me off too much.
FYI - it was the shop on Federal/84th. I'm sure others are fine, but I'll never go to Grease Monkey again because of that.

Tray, we had problems with same Grease Monkey location shortly after we moved here about 13 years ago. We've never gone back.

Grease Monkeys are famous for "double sealing" oil filters. I don't know if they come from their distributor that way or what, but it causes big problems.

Grease Monkey........Well never went anyplace but the dealer for my oil changes.....BUT 07/02/02 needed a last minute oil change cause was heading out of town the next day........... Needless to say less then an hour into my drive that next am, my engine seized up and blew apart basically.............Just yesterday got this issue resolved........2 yrs and 11 days of fighting, lawyers and crap...............Never Go To Grease Monkey
Which one was that at?
I feel lucky now hearing that. I still hate them, but feel lucky that pretty much all I had to do was replace some oil.

If I don't change my oil myself I just take it to my mechanic whom I trust not to ruin my interior or exterior, which is Elite Auto Service down here in the Springs. These guys are the only ones that touch my truck plus they wash your truck at the end. Sometimes though that ticks me off because if I did it myself a couple days before I don't want them to spot it up....LOL

Tray......... It was @ 7400 Hwy 287 Broomfield CO (on 120th ave near Sill Ter Har Ford)
Ahh, yes. I used to drive by it every day.
And that further supports my theory that it is 'Grease Monkey', and not the ownership/management team. Many of the monkeys around the north part of town are 'Blankenship' Grease Monkeys. From what I can tell, that one is not, and sounds just as bad, if not worse, than the others around.
I think I'd almost rather have the guys at Wal-Mart change my oil before the Monkeys. As long as there aren't any disgruntled women working there anyway.
