I'm looking for some tires, preferably BFG All-Terrains or AT/KO's but will consider others... if they come with wheels that'd help me save some money, otherwise I can get some off ebay or something. In good shape please :).
(its a long shot I know... LOL)

if the tires were a good deal and in good shape, and he'd be willing to seperate wheels and tires I'd be interested. Unless you thinking of them for your truck... :).

The Hummer H2's use 315-70/17 stock, which I'm told I can run o n my FX4 wheels, so I've been looking for those as well, problem is all that I find are either in California or New York, LOL.

PROBABLY NOT WILLING TO SEPERATE. IT'S MORE WHEELS WITH +/-TIRES AROUND THEM, RATHER THAN STOCK WHEELS WITH GOOD SKINS.
I'LL KEEP LOOKING THOUGH.

WHY DON'T YOU GIMME SOME SPECS AND I'LL CALL MY BUDDIES...

(REALIZE THE LAST TIME I HOOKED A BROTHER UP HE STARED CALLING MY GUYS EVERY 5 MINUTES... ALMOST CAUSED ME TO GET A DRUMSTICK UPSIDE THE HEAD DURING THE NEXT GET TOGETHER JAM...)

Its 4 tires and wheels, coming from Orange County, CA. Not sure how much they'd weigh but figure maybe 250 pounds total?

LEANINTREE

DON'T KID YOURSELF...

SO.... WHAT SIZE TIRES? 35" WITH RIMS, YOU'RE LOOKING AT 90# EACH IF IT'S A NICKEL... SO, 2 SKIDS, 250/SKID (YOU PAY FOR THE WEIGHT OF THE SKIDS ALSO)

LET ME KNOW A BIT BETTER SPECS AND WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET BETTER NUMBERS. THE SHIPPER WILL NEED BASICALLY EXACT NUMBERS ONE WAY OR THE OTHER, BUT FOR A QUOTE, NOT THAT CRITICAL.

What is it, what is it, what is it? Unfortunately Border Manager won't let me check out ebay while at work, so I can't see it.

Matt I may have some 35x12.5x16's dunlops AT for you. They are the ones on my truck right now and only have ablout 3,000 miles on them. Great on-road tires but arent MT so off road they preform like what they are. It may be a few weeks though because Im waiting on a few things to come through (student loan) to buy the body lift and 38s. But e-mail me and maybe we can work something out.

Let me know when you get rid of em! I might be interested :). I am definately interested in more of an all-terrain... the truck will mainly be used for driving my ass to and from work.

Where do I sign up for a student loan that allows for the purchase of a lift and tires. I'm having a hard time trying to get school paid for.

its not a student loan its the va bill and living at home so I always have some left over. When you dont pay 6-700 a month in rent money can go other places.

Hey Don, theres another guy in Huntington Beach, CA with some wheels/tires for sale, but he says local shipping only. I assume one of the California guys will help me out with getting it to a depot, if you can help with finding a depot and a reasonable shipping price I would much appreciate it :).

HI MATT,
LOOKS LIKE THINGS KINDA FELL THROUGH WITH MY BUDDYS. THEY ARE BASED OUT OF SALT LAKE ANYWAY, SO IT WOULD HAVE BEEN AN ODDBALL ORDER FOR THEM. YOUR BEST BET IS TO CALL *ALL* OF THE FREIGHT FORWARDERS IN THE DENVER BOOK (EGL GLOBAL, TEAM WORLDWIDE, REDDAWAY, SPIRIT EXPRESS, RAC TRANSPORT, ETC). HAVE YOUR 'WHERE FROM', DIMENSIONS, WEIGHT AND DROP DEAD DATE. GET A QUOTE, THEN TAKE THAT QUOTE ON TO THE NEXT OUTFIT. THEY WILL *ALL* SAY THEY CAN DO IT, SO IT DEVOLVES DOWN TO PRICE AND WHICH OUTFIT IMPRESSES YOU MOST. THEY ALSO KNOW IT WORKS LIKE THAT, SO THEY PRICE MATCH, AND TRY TO UNDERCUT EACH OTHER. FREQUENTLY, THEY SCREW UP AND CUT THEIR OWN THROAT JUST TO DENY THE BUSINESS TO OTHER COMPANYS. IT'S STUPID, BUT THATS THE WAY IT WORKS, SO USE IT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE.
THAT'S THE BEST I GOT RIGHT NOW MAN, SORRY I CAN'T HELP MORE.
DON
PS: MAKE SURE THEY UNDERSTAND IT IS 'DOCK TO DOCK'. (DROPED AT THEIR CONTACT IN CALI, YOU PICK UP IN DENVER. *DON'T* LET THEM TALK YOU INTO DROPPING THE TIRES 100 MILES AWAY FROM THEIR SOURCE IN CALI THOUGH... THAT'S CRAP. THEIR CONTACT HAS CONTACTS IN EVERY TOWN BIG ENOUGH TO PUT A BURGER KING IN.

Well I bought some tires/wheels... and the guy I bought them from (not the guy with the ebay wheels/tires I was originalyl looking at) works closely with a shipping company, so it will be taken care of.
Hope these look good on the truck... if not, guess I can buy new wheels and sell the tires. They are 16" wheels so at least the replacement tires will be cheaper! :).
THey are BF Goodrich AT/KO (the exact tires I was looking for), 315-75/16 (supposedly 35", but we all know better! LOL)

mattadams
07-22-2004, 11:17 AM
16x8s which is what I prefer to 16x10.
