On Sunday, March 13 (about a month advanced warning! LOL) the Colorado Mammoth are playing Anaheim at 1:00pm. If we get 10 or more people together, tickets will be about $5-7 depending on how many people sign up and how good of seats we decide to get.
This isn't the same as the family deal where you get the free pepsi/beer and free hot dog but from last games experience, getting the beer/hot dog was a major ordeal as only one or two places in the whole stadium could give the "freebies".

If you respond yes that you want to go, I'm expecting that you will be there and will have the money available to pay me for tickets when necessary.

So far we've got:
Matt + up2mylbowsnmud
MMPC + g/f (probable)
Walker2970 (2)
Cricketbug (4)
Drklawz (2)
Ron & Heather Sampson (2)

Put me down as a definite maybe right now - I have to talk to Amy and check schedules - but I'm guessing we'll be able to make it... :D

That'd be a yes -- for me and the hubby.

So, add 2 more to the list. :)

OK, so far I've got 6 definites, and 2 probables. We need at least 10 definites before I can purchase tickets. Anyone else?

Hey Matt...

Add 2 more to my "order." Cousins want to go.

Quick question...where do they play?

Sounds good, I also ran into drklawz at Costco today and he and his wife are going to go too, so we should have no problem meating the minimum for tickets.
The Mammoth play at the Pepsi Center. Should be easy enough to find eh?

That's 2 for Navigator Susie and I. Do you have a link to information about the event? Parking, where/when to meet, etc?

drklawz - good idea about meeting somewhere. I know for some Generation-Edge meets, we've all met at the McDonalds off of I-25 and Colfax (on the East side of Colfax). It's right in the Pepsi Center area.

I went to www.PepsiCenter.com and found info on the Mamoth games and other events.

Just my .02 cents about parking... Auraria campus is right across the street from "The Can" (aka. the Pepsi Center). Last time I was at The Can, had to pay between $5-10 (can't remember exact) for parking and ended up parking over PAST Elitches. Sorry for the segue'......Unless I'm mistaken, we can park in the Auraria parking lots and walk across the street. I'll check it out next time I'm down on campus and let y'all know.

Matt, I just saw this on the Pepsi Center's website, thought I'd post it here....

"The start of the March 13 game against Calgary at Pepsi Center has been moved up one hour from 1 p.m. to noon."

Yeah, that's what we did last time we went to the Mammoth game. It worked out well.

Yeah last time we parked over at auraria campus... as far as where to meet, theres lots of potential places to meet up, I'm fine with that McDonalds, I know where its at... we could also meet in front of the pepsi center somewhere, but theres a good chance of not finding people that way. I don't get by there very often (only been to the pepsi center twice) so I dont know all the good meeting spots near there.

I will be going to the Mammoth game tonight, and I will "scout" for some good meeting spots that are easy to find, yada yada.
Thanks for letting me know about the time change, by the way.

OK, there is a bar outside the Pepsi Center, as you are walking to the can from Auraria campus, called Brooklyns. This might be a decent place to meet (we can meet outside, they have a patio, etc.). If you have any way of getting me the money for tickets beforehand that'd be cool or you can pay me at the game.
FYI, the game on teh 13th is "Youth Day" which means kids under 14 get one free ticket per adult ticket, I'm not sure if that qualifies with the group rate I'm going to check on it, but it could mean it'll be busy, so I might have to reserve tickets soon.
For $5 you get upper-ends, or for $6 you get upper-corners. For $9 you get upper-middles. What would everyone prefer?

Regarding the tickets, it doesn't really matter to me. I think Brooklyn's sounds like a decent place to meet as well...

One other cool thing about going as a group, is they'll put the names of the groups up on the scrolling matrix thing before the game and at halftime (it gets used as a scoreboard during play), so we could get the name out a bit too :). It'll be a great time!

Brooklyns would work for us. I know right where that's at.

I think I'd prefer upper middle, but wherever is fine.

ok the tickets have now been ordered. We are sitting in section 374, which is upper center. Tickets will be $6 each (sorry, decided ot ugprade, figured it'ld be worth an extra $1). We have 14 people going, and we have two rows of 7 seats. Our name will also show up on the scrolling matrix before/after the game and at halftime.
Please meet outside Brooklyns at 11am. Please bring your money for the tickets. And please be prompt so we're not waiting outside the bar until after the game starts...

It's looking like it might be pretty cold tomorrow, especially aroudn the time of the game. Quite possibly a few inches of snow. If it does end up being too cold, I'll probably be inside Brooklyns instead of outside on the patio. If you dont see me, give me a call 303-868-8265, might be having lunch inside after all...

MMPC

Amy and I will be there by 11am or shortly thereafter. We're planning to have a light lunch as well, so whoever wants to eat at Brooklyn's will have some company to do so...
