I've had contractions every day for the last few weeks but nothing regular, so they are going to make him come out Monday if he doesn't by then. He loves to tease us already.

The hospital has this fold-out loveseat thingy that is supposed to be better than the old fold out chairs, but I have a feeling Ryan will sleep at home. I used to work L&D so I have an "in" with the nurses who are planning to be there with us. ;)

We are already used to not sleeping, thanks to me. :) I can't get comfortable anymore. We don't get out much because I hate wearing pants at this point except my pajama pants. lol The "undercarriage" of my belly as Ryan calls it doesn't get covered by my shirts anymore. It is time!

That's what we thought too. Turns out they just pampered my wife more than usual, and left me to suffer. I ended up sneaking down to the little lounge they had for a couple hours between feedings. Had to set my alarm on my cell phone though, so I could be back before the baby woke up to eat.

Thanks everyone! We weren't definite about when we would be "ready" and we had sort of settled on starting to try in Dec 04. I have 3 girls from a previous (young) marriage and the idea of 4 kids was scary. But then in June 04 we found out... :wink: When we got our first ultrasound the size/dates were a little off, which bumped the conception date to Ryan's birthday. lol

Now that it's approaching, he's ready and I'm not sure if I am!!! It's like I've never done this before.

Oh I bet you would be fine! Ryan thinks the same thing, that he'll break him, but really it's not scary to hold them when they are all swaddled up. Besides, all kids get dropped a few times, right? Or is that just my kids? ;)

Miranda - my theory is little ones are at least 3/4 rubber. -- and it's not just your kids. My neice & nephew have tumbled, fallen, been dropped, etc. more times than i can count

BTW I did not authorize those pics of me before he posted... yeesh. I had a serious problem with swelling the last few weeks, pretty obvious but still embarrassing! We discovered I do have elbows and ankles again today--amazing.
