Well, I did my first-ever organized bike ride on Sunday - nearly 50-miles in distance! :) It was supposed to be 32-miles, but I missed a turn (long story, LOL). Anyway, it was great and marks the first time I've ever travelled so much distance without being in/on a motor vehicle! Next weekend is the "Tour de Cure" charity ride which is actually supposed to be 50-miles - LOL. I'll let you know how it goes...

BTW, I'm in Maryland now until Friday. I'd complain about the heat but see that Denver set a record today! Keep cool, everyone...

Good job. I think this weekend is supposed to be a little cooler.

Glad you made it. I don't think my bony butt would even let me near another bike after 50 miles. I have to throw in the "Dry Heat" thing too. I'd rather be here than someplace humid.

I know what you mean about humidity. It blows! Whenever I go back to Minnesota, the temperatures may only be in the high 70's, but the humidity makes it miserable compared to the 90's here. Humidity also makes the winter temperatures feel colder.

Personally I'd rather have the humidity. My fat ass gets too dehydrated in the dry heat, and it sets in before you know it, and it's too late to do anything about it.

Thought I was going to die Sunday mowing the lawn at 1:30. It sucks, but that's the only time I can do it having the kids on weekends.

Thanks everyone, it really was a fun ride! :D I know, some of you are now probably wondering just what kind of person actually enjoys sweating, pain and gasping for air. LOL. Well, it's difficult to describe - but I'm usually a "normal" guy! ;)

As for heat, give me dry any day. I'm in Maryland now and it's HUMID. Not even the worst I've felt - but it still makes 80-degrees feel a lot hotter! And it seems to suck the energy out of your body...

Wow Chris! Thats awesome... and of course there are pics of the event:) Hey, you should get one of those little buggy things to pull around for little kids to ride in, I could ride in it and you could be my tour guide through the city:) what do ya say? ;) That'll give you a nice workout! LOL

Thats really cool, you should be proud!
