Ok, here is a car show that is next month for all you street queens (*cough-Matt-cough* lol) and everyone else. From what I understand this is a indoor show.

The Super Show and Swap Meet will be open Saturday, February 12 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Sunday, February 13 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Admission is only $9.00 for adults, $5.00 for adults over 65 years old, and kids 12 and under are free. Show your active military ID for a $5.00 admission. We support our troops!

I think Cory should go as they are giving a custom Harley chopper away at the door and with him winning that last one he needs to goto this one and win this one so he can give me one.

Here is the link with all the info, etc.

ENJOY!

looks cool, the only problem is you have to have the truck there Friday, and leave it until Sunday night... I'll think about it though. From looking at the "details", you have to apply to be in the show and the application must be received by February 5th. I'll toss it over though, so what else I've got going that weekend.

You know Matt,
I wish Dom had as much done to his truck to show off as you do yours cause I would not let him pass up this opoortunity. This would be a prime chance to possibly earn some recognition for all the work you've put into your beauty.

aww your sweet. Well this is our first Valentines Day together, and I've already missed the deadline for "showing" the truck anyways. That's alright, there'll be more shows htis summer, but they'll only be one first valentines day.

The funny thing is, Matt, this is Jenny and my first v-day and if my Bronco was any where near show quality, she would understand if I took the Bronco to the show. She knows I would make it up to her later...in so many ways. :D

Well, Valentines Day wasn't the only reason... the show format was weird, I'd have to drive the truck down there on Friday, get it detailed, then find a ride back, have it be at the show Satuday and Sunday and pick it up late Sunday... I prefer the one-day shows that you can go, detail it, sit with it, get your trophy (haven't won a trophy yet, but hey you never know! LOL) and leave... that and I'm still waiting on my showboard and a few other mods to be installed...

of course I too would understand if it were something he really wanted to do, but I know that it isnt and that its not a one chance thing... hes already planning to do a ton of summer stuff and I think its great, he had to miss out on a lot of truck stuff last summer b/c of the transmission so he definately should partake in lots of stuff this year, but he doesnt have to do every show just because its happening.
Sorta like for a while he was sorta planning on possibly missing my birthday b/c of sema... well it turns out he didnt have to leave til the next day b/c he wanted to save on hotel nights... but still, i know sema is super important and something that was a priority for him, i would not have been upset to miss my birthday, he would have made it up to me too and "in so many ways"

Why are you guys trying to make trouble and make it look like I am a bad guy and depriving him of something? :dontknow:

mattadams
02-06-2005, 10:15 PM
yeah... it's no big deal. Gotta prioritize things each year, and when they conflict ranks their priority. Like, I will miss Courtney's birthday, every single year, because of SEMA. We're missing Valentines Day because I have class that I can't miss, so we're doing something that weekend. Yada yada.

WOW! Glad to have all of that cleared up. I obviously wasn't the only person that picked up that Matt might have been interested in that show. Well like I said, enjoy LOL

I think matt can/does look out for his own interests and really doesnt need you to do it for him. what gives?

mattadams
02-07-2005, 07:51 AM
Girls, girls, theres no reason to fight over me or my interests, LOL.
Jen, trust me, if I want to go to a show, I'm going to a show. I guess I gave the wrong impression in earlier posts that I really wanted to go to the show, but couldn't because of Valentines Day. Honestly that wasn't really the case. I would somewhat like to go to the show, but it's a huge inconvenience if I wanted to do so (since like I mentioned, you have to drive down Friday and truck has to stay there until Sunday which means I'd have to get rides back and forth, yada yada) and my truck is in between mods right now and not really show-worthy anway. But Courtney knows that my truck is my major hobby, and if I want to show it, spend time working on it, etc. she's understanding, so it's all good.

Anyways, back on topic... Burg, thanks for posting the show, keep posting them as you find out about them. I don't get informed of every show out there, so it helps, but as things start getting warmer, I'm sure there'll be more shows that I can bring the truck to. Hopefully this summer I'll get to take it to every show I can find in the metro area, LOL.

Anyways..... Damn thread jackers... :thefinger: :laughing2:

So is Cory going to go to this and win me that bike or what?? :twirl:

Matt, as I told Dom, my friend is a Promoter/Marketing Director for a entertainment place/company and they are going to be putting on/hosting 2 or 3 car shows this summer. My friend is very heavily into the car show scene as he has a total custom s-10 on air bags that is pretty trick. So yes, I know about probably 90% of the car shows that happen. Don't worry, I will be sure to post them as I hear about them if they are not already posted. OK!?

Jeff, I understand your :sheep: when it comes to things like this... But the sex must kind of suck...

Walking Eagle

The sex is not too bad, a couple of years ago when I was in Wyoming I crawled through herd of sheep and recorded their sounds. I just play the tape in the background to make the atmosphere right.
