My truck is peeing on the driveway... And its a dark color.

Okay, the other day my truck was WAY low on PS fluid... So I filled it up, I think I overfilled it, I know thats bad... Well I fired it up and it peed everywhere, so I let it sit the rest of the week until I could look at it more today... Well... I got out there, the fluid is approx where it belongs, and I can't find a leak!!! I fired it up, had Tara turn the wheel and nothing... I'm stumped... I can't find any visible leaks around the resivour or the pump... But the PS cooler has some fluid on it so I'm wondering if thats where the leaks is, but I can't see if/where its coming out of...

Any help folks???

Its possible that there was enough pressure from overfilling it that it escaped from one of the hose connections at the cooler. I'd just keep an eyeball on it, and maybe try to tighten the connections. Are you sure the puddle is from your vehicle?

I know one time when I had a power steering pump leak I couldn't figure out, I took it Goodyear and they put in some dye that showed up with the black light, to figure out where the leak is from. If you overfilled it, the power steering tends to "bubbhle" at least it did in my explorer... and that could cause some overflowing... I haven't changed a pump in a 95 or newer explorer, but I'd imagine its not too hard... the hardest part was getting the pully off, because it has to be done by hand. No power tools allowed.

Any chance there could be some sort of overflow preventer, which would let the excess out?
