Ok, so its not a new Mustang or F 150, but I think this is cool and hope they bring it to production.
Up to this point, E-bikes have been either ultra-expensive toys for yupp-hippies or cheap crap from china that failed to work right out of the box. Both suffered from limited range, were too heavy and failed to function as either a motorcycle lite/scooter OR a bicycle.
Having a real car company like Ford start making ebikes would be great because they would have the R&D money and skills to make a real, usable and sane ebike that could be more of a "Vehicle" for short trips and commuting rather than a toy or "rich hippie" status symbol.
They could even bundle them with the sale of a car or truck to help with sales of both.
Buy a F-150 for X number of dollars, get an Ebike at a discount for those short trips around the neighborhood.
Ok, off my soapbox.
