I'm ordering a few t-shirts, and my shop prefers when I order several shirts at a time rather then 1 or 2. Anyone been thinking of getting a shirt, but been holding off? Now's a good time... let me know! :).

yeah I will hopefully have them ready by the 16th, no promises though. Warrlord gave you the right link, let me know size and color. They are a front design only, for now.

To everyone that ordered shirts... all except for the ash shirt, and hte two white shirts are done. I didn't like how the two white shirts and the ash shirts looked, so they are being redone (which means reordered, redone) which means they will be done in a week or so. The others are ready, however, and I will get them out ASAP.

Ultimately, I'd love to do a screenprinting order. Here's the problem with screenprinting. $$$, and quantity.
Whenever you do a run of shirts, you pay between $50-100 for screen setups if you do front/rear, so if you do a quantity of 5-10 shirts, those shirts will cost you $25-30 each... if you do a quantity of 25-50, the osts of the screen setup becaome significantly less. But so far I don't have significant interest to justify a larger order, and I can't order shirts on my own with the "hope" that they sell later. I'm $10k in the hole already and thats not including my dogs upcoming bladder surgery. The last thing I can afford is a huge batch of shirts.
I hope to someday have sufficient interest to do an order that can justify the costs, because I'd love to get that type of shirt too, but for right now, the advantage to embroidery is you can do quantity of 1 or 2 and it doesn't cost you a ton each time you do it.

by the way, that wasn't to put you down or anything, I didn't mean it that way. Just trying to explain it a bit as to why I havent done the shirts that way yet. Until demand allows it, can't do mass quantities of... anything...
Hey Matt, just FYI - you may be able to get a cheaper run of screened shirts.
I don't recall the exact cost, but we had a bunch of jerseys done for our softball team a while back and they ended up costing about $14 per shirt with front and back + numbers.
We ended up having them designed and printed at Sportline. They are an athletic place that does a ton of that sort of stuff. May be worth a few minutes of your time some day to check out.
10K, that's it? I'd love to be only 10K in the hole. Not saying you should put yourself in more debt, just wishing I could be that close to out of it.

I don't own a house either, LOL.
not sure how it worked on your jerseys, but I know on a lot of jerseys they just have standard screens for the numbers and basic letters, but when you have a custom logo, etc. they have to set up a new screen. I've done a few shirt orders before, like for the FTW CO Chapter, the explorer4x4 group, etc. but we always had a quantity that could justify the screen charge. Typically when I did these runs, I had a quantity of at least 50 or so, and the shirts came out to be about $10 each or so. The one time I did a run of shirts for the explorer4x4 group I actually had a quantity of about 150 shirts and was able to get the shirts even cheaper.
The other complication is that everyone wants a different color shirt, some light some dark so we actually have to do 4 screens, one screen for the front for white ink, one screen for the front for black ink, one screen for the back for white, one screen for black, etc.
Well, a buddy of mine drew up the logo on a note card, and it made it onto the shirts. I don't know all of the details behind it, just passing along the info.
And oh shit - I wasn't even thinking about the house or vehicle debts. Now I'm depressed.

ok sorry didn't mean to bring up bad debts... :(. I'd love to have a house debt, can't afford it for now... housing is absolutely insane. You can send $200k on a house, and it'll have holes in teh floor, the roof is leaking and/or caving in, and half the wiring is shot. I don't know how people afford decent houses, I guess dual income helps...

It just depends Matt. I just bought a house recently and I don't make a whole lot. My woman is saving for grad school so she doesn't help out. It just depends on your priorities. I take the Bus to work 3 days a week to save on Gas and I watch my money. I keep a budget and make sure I don't spend more than I have. After the necessities, I have $300 per month to play. I still have money to put into savings incase I need to help the miss out with grad school myself. Furthermore, I spent shy of $200K on my house and it is a wonderful home. Anyway, just thought I'd share my experience. If you want something, you can make it happen. Well, as long as you dont have kids.
*Hmmm, Maybe I should not post this lame posting. Oh well, it's already typed out and everything*
Well, that must be in the bad parts of town. I got out of college, and purchased my first house. I was making 14/hour at the time, and was still approved. I just figured if I were going to pay $800+ per month rent, why not get a mortgage for around the same amount. I think payments were something around $860, and it was an entire house.
I nearly got a roommate, figuring $450/month for half a house would be pretty easy to find. But then I went and had to get married, start having kids etc... so I now live in a new house.
The cool thing though, is that instead of my rent making someone rich, it pays down what I owe, lets me write off more on taxes, and if I'm ever stupid enough to move again, it'll only make me more money.

I hear ya... I've looked into the house thing, the mortgage thing, etc. At this rate about all I can afford is a crappy townhouse an dhonestly, for right now because I'm still not sure where int own I want to live, I'd rather just rent so I can move around... but I definately see the advantages of owning, don't get me wrong.
My parents were supposed to sell me their house years ago. Hence why I worked on the hardwood floors, the kitchen floor, the railings, etc. but it hasnt happened and I honestly don't expect it to happen anytime soon.

Hpoe you ordered a extra Grey t shirt, sorry didn't see the post till now. You have any hats laying around?
mattadams

I have one extra hat, but because of the massive amount of possible shirt combinations (color, size, etc.) I can't over-order. Let me know what you want and I'll get one ordered. I do have to hike the prices a bit though, found they raised the prices and didn't tell me. So basically, when I showed up the receipt said $11+tax for each of the shirts. Well I charge $11, so at the current price, I'm loosing about $1 per shirt. not a big deal though, promotion is good, just have to raise the rates as soon as I have time to update the page.
