Does nobody know how to haggle a cash offer anymore? I'm selling a Honda XR 650R for $2,500. I get all these people calling, asking if I would take $1,800 and what not for it. That's their first question! I'm willing to move on the price, but not $700 without a person even looking at it. I'm not just giving it away, come look at the bike, ride it, have cash on hand and make an offer. I'm selling a Dana 44 for $200. I get people who ask questions and may think $200 is too high and walk away from it. No! Make a cash offer, I would let it go for less on a cash in hand deal. The rule of the game is sell it for as much as you can without being too overpriced, but don't turn down a decent offer if you're actually looking to sell. If you're buying, SHOW UP (physically) with cash in hand and start haggling the price.... That's my rant.

They probably make the offer because they know some people are more than interested in moving their vehicles and will take any offer that comes along. I know my old black 99 explorer, the rustbucket I bought from Michigan, I had listed for something like $2800. Dude showed up, spoke very little english, and offered me $1900. I took it in a heartbeat, I was so happy to get rid of that piece of shit. On the other hand I've had other vehicles, like my wife's grand cherokee we just sold a few months ago that people would try to low-ball me and I'd just say no thanks, willing to wait for a better offer...
