8th Annual Christmas Caravan for Kids

This year the event will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 10am till 2 pm at Jefferson County Event Center.

Again this year, vendors and their rigs will be inside the arena and prizes will be awarded.

All vehicles invited (rock rods, your trailer queens, and your daily drivers, hot rods, muscle cars). Bring your ride along with a new unwrapped toy for donation to one of the meeting points listed below and caravan into Jefferson County Event Center to meet up with others from around the State for the Meet and Greet to follow.

Like last year, participants will get tickets for the FREE raffle following a FREE lunch!

Bring a toy and meet up at one of the below locations to join the caravan down to Jefferson County Event Center

Locations: All caravans depart at 10:00 am

Westminster Mall
SE corner near Sheridan and 88th.

Off Road Ltd, Aurora
14200 E Colfax

Home Depot Parking Lot
Arapaho Rd, east of I-25

Southwest Plaza Mall
South side near Sears

From up North:
The Northern Co area will have 2 meeting locations for the Caravan to Denver, choose whichever location and time works best and arrive before the group leaves.

The first meeting place will be located at the Park-N-Ride on the SW corner of I-25 & Hwy 402 (the south Loveland exit just north of Johnson's Corner). Kerry will be in a Grey Dodge Ram and be there around 8:00 AM. The group will leave promptly at 8:30 AM and head south on I-25 to Longmont and meet the group from the Trailridge Runners 4Wd Club at the Park-N-Ride on the SW corner of Hwy 66. The group will then leave that location at 9:00 AM to head straight to the fairgrounds. If all goes smooth we will be at the fairgrounds around 10:00 AM. Don't forget your toys and hope to see you there!!!

I know you brought this up at the last election. Are you calling for some type of club function for this?

the club got me going to this with the 2nd annual, Last year I was in Florida
so i'm not missing this year nor am i missing any other year if i can help it. It is a great cause. I would love to see this a mandatory Club event but i know we don't have anything like that and its just my opinion. Besides its fun to see the Jar Heads freezing there butts off.. I know everyone has there causes this one is mine ..

This is indeed a great cause, I'm sorry I've missed it the last few years but I always try to hit up their other drop off locations for toys nonetheless :). not sure yet how my December looks but I'll see what we can manage!

We tried the Caravan thing the first year and i thought it was a nightmare. In my opinion we should just meet at the jeffco event center around say 9:45 the Caravans will be rolling in around 10:20 so we can miss the crowd and not have to sit in line for a hour plus to get in.

Would be open to other suggestions or if you wish to caravan down choose your location but lets say we meet around the entrance around 11:00 depending on how everyone chooses to go.

I guess if I am coordinating this as it draws closer we can get a better idea of who is going and how we can get more organized and get a good head count.

Sadly, I will be unable to participate in this with you all. The 4th is my scheduled Saturday to work. Nobody wanted to trade days with me like in the past so I have to work it. Sorry bout that.

I am not sure yet on my plans... I might have something going on or I may be able to bail. I'm going to buy some toys and drop them off at one of the drop-off points either way, but I will try to make it...

Last time I had everyone meet at Santiago's, there was no room in the parking lot. :o

The place is a madhouse on Saturday morning. :)

We are in, So is everyone meeting for breakfast? And are folks still meeting up at the meeting locations or just at the event? We will be getting some grub on the way to the event.
