To get around some security measures, I upgraded our version of phpbb (the software that runs the forums) today, but I forgot it overwrites all the old images. Since the holidays are over, I'll be going back to the ford oval, but will do so later when I have access to the right files again. in the meantime, bear with the "bells" :).

I dont know if it's my Firefox browser or what but I have to actually hit Refresh on the front page for the changes to take effect. Just coming to the site does not do it. Just an FYI for anyone else who has this issue.

"Security measures?"
Does that mean I'll actually be able to log in from home? Now it takes me 3 tries, and by the time it actually logs me in, it shows up like I've already read all of the new posts.

hmm no I dont think that one is addressed... they found some problems where people were being able to hack in to the sites too easily (dont think i've ever had the problem) and steal email addresses, etc.
Why not leave it automatically logged on? :)
Also, I'm not sure if firefox is the same as IE, but theres a temporary internet file setting in IE where you can choose when you check for newer version of stored pages, and if its set to "every visit to the page" it seems to be more reliable then if its set to "automatically". No refresh required.
At some point I'd like ot upgrade the system to vbulletin. They provide scripts to convert everything from phpbb (current version) to VBulletin, but right now its out of my price range. It tends to be a bit more reliable and configurable. But phpbb is free! LOL.
Well, if I didn't have 5 or more people using my computer daily, I'd allow things to be automatic like at work. But with as many viruses as people seem to pick up on my home machine, I don't automatically allow anything. Who knows what would happen.
It's not usually a big issue though, as the little time I'm home seldom allows me the freedom to go get on the 'puter. I just noticed it a few times during the 4 day break from work.
