I have a 1982 bronco with a 1973 Lincoln 460, with an edelbrok performer cam, weiand stealth intake, Holley 670cfm truck avenger carb, hedman long tube headers, with leak proof dead soft aluminum gaskets, and the motor has all new gaskets and seals, oil filter relocater kit, new oil pump, new oil pan, c6 transmission with shift kit and 1200 stall speed converter. got to weld up the custom y-pipe and single 3" cat back yet, going to use the Aero turbine 3030 muffler i have.

horsepower tv did a recent build that is very similar just a slightly different cam (different brand almost identical specs), and got 378hp/498 ft pounds of torque... this truck will be awesome!!!!

also has a 1993 Eddie Bauer bronco front (power lumbar hooked up) and rear seats with matching console, sunpro tachometer, and a pioneer cd player AND the factory installed original sport "roll" bar. has dana 44 ttb front and ford 9" rear, and currently has 32" BFG all terrains that are just about worn out (will need to be replaced soon). this truck will be a beast. body is rough, and painted flat black for the urban assault look.

Welcome to RMFTC. How do you like that avenger 670? I am running a 750 3310s on mine. I almost went with the truck avenger and decided the 750 vac sec would be better for my application.

You know you have a truck when, at the end of the day, someone asks you what you did that day and you include "stopped by the gas station" no less than 4 times.

Welcome to RMFTC!

...and welcome to the world of single digit fuel mileage. :D My bud used to have a '76 short bed with a 460 from a grandma car. You could be rolling in any gear, mash the skinny pedal and smoke the tires.

Not to be an ass, but your engine will live longer if you:
Install a real air cleaner with a real air filter.
Re-install the PCV system.

It would make me cry to see this engine die young, and it's not even mine!

Welcome Gregg, great motor for sure. I have a few build ideas that someday I want to try on a 460 just for kicks. Let us know how it comes w/ getting running. Might help if you give us some ideas as to what you have done so far(checked), we have some good engine folk on here.

Welcome and nice to see another Bronco.
I have to agree with Hypoid. Put a real air cleaner on that engine, and reconnect the PCV system. It will help prevent oil leaks and helps keep the cylinder walls lubricated better for longer engine life. Otherwise, hope to see you on the trails soon.
