I'll probably get a bigger Xmas bonus from my 1-day a week job at the hardware store than from my sallaried IT job.

sweet i don't work this time of year so yall get better things than me :(
I got a sweet Christmas bonus.
I got a powerpoint presentation on why us contractors need to be treated 'differently', and how employees shouldn't invite us to confidential meetings, team events, or all-hands meetings.
That was followed up by my consulting company buying my boss, and her boss, these huge baskets from Harry and David.

WOW!!!! I was bitching because my bonus was taxed. I guess I won't complain about $93.75 after Uncle Sam took his share.

Ive heard that when i go to pickup my last check tomorrow that there will be an extra $150 there as a bonus....The new county manager up in Summit told my step dad about the bonuses today....and also said he wished i could stay with the county....and ive only met the guy once, but he was cool. Hopefully ill get it even though im not still working up there..lol.

Because it's way better than donating to a good charity?
Maybe for a mug collector. It'll be a very rare item eventually. I'm sure those other few folks lucky enough to get them will either use them, or toss them, but the rare ones that aren't used may bring back much more some time in the future.

I think some people bid on an item on ebay just because its a "hot item" and they will gain popularity by being able ot say "yeah I was the one that bought that!". I mean look at the grilled cheese sandwich with the virgin mary's image supposedly on it for like $20k. Sometimes, the bizzare or well advertised is just interesting to own, if you've got the dough. LOL

One company I worked for in Albq gave $50 gift certificates to the grocery, and the grocers down there sell real booze. That was pretty good.
