Finally picked up my new DD...2005 XLT Ranger 4x4, 4.0, 5 speed, 33k miles. Its in great shape, and I got it for a great price. So far I love it.
Best part is, I think I can keep my Bronco. I was worried for a bit I might not be able to afford both, but so far so good. I will put pics of the Ranger up tomorrow after work.

Yes, the seats are still a bit wet from being detailed. I picked it up last night, right before close. They were detailing it as I signed the papers.

Bit of an update. Haven't had much money to mod the Ranger, but i've done a few things. Niteshaded the tails, put in some rubber floor mats, and switched the system from my Bronco to my Ranger since the Bronco isn't getting driven but once a week or so. The system took up a lot of space in the Bronco anyway, and now I can take the top off of it and not worry about it getting stolen.

Oh yeah, and also took off that stupid dealer badge and license plate cover. I get to travel to Weld County tomorrow morning to get it plates.

HA! I was just going to say something about the hajek badge :). Glad you got it off there, that thing is gawdy! I hate dealer badges. I had a friend once that bought a brand new mustang at (I want to say it was Phil Long), went through all the paperwork, the financing, etc... they went to do the "final dealer prep" and that included the dealer badge, which in those times actually involved drilling holes in the vehicle for it, though most don't do that anymore... he refused delivery, and went and bought one at another dealership and made them promise to not put a dealer badge on it.

Haha, yeah.
I have a friend who's dad ordered a brand new Lightning from a Ford dealer in Las Vegas some years ago. He told them that if they put one of their dealer badges on it, he would raise hell. LOL

I'd like to have a bigger update then this...but I haven't done one in about 6 months so what the hell...
I've put 7k miles on it in 9 months. My work commute has gone way down since I moved a few miles away from my work. Its nice to keep the miles low on it.
Gone threw a couple truck toolboxes. First was a black Husky non low profile. That didn't last long. Wasn't the clean look I like. So I sold it for more then I bought it for, and picked up a silver Husky low profile. Much cleaner look.
Also installed a Uniden CB in it. Not sure if I like the space its mounted yet or not. I might move it.
Also picked up a new valence for it because the original one was badly faded. Truck looks brand new again.

Another small update...did all this a few months back.
Took the 2 12's and amp back out and returned them to the Bronco. That massive box was taking up too much space, and I got tired of not having a decent system in the Bronco.
So I bought a Sony Xplode 10 inch sub and Kenwood amp from a friend for cheap, and put them in the Ranger. The same day, I took out the CB and also put that back into the Bronco. LOL
Before...yeah it was huge back there.

A friend of mine who owns an 02 Ranger is trading his truck off for a new F150 in late October/Early Nov. He has quite a few mods i'm buying off of him. A new Kobalt toolbox that is still low-pro, but deeper, a tuner, a Cobra CB (smaller then what was in there before), and believe it or not...yes...another new system. Two 12 inch Alpine subs (in a much smaller box) and an Alpine Amp. Also, possibly his Alpine headunit depending on if I like it better then my current Panasonic.
Also ordered a 3 inch body lift today from Summit. Should have that on in the next week or tow, depending on when it delivers. Soon after that I should have some new 15x8 wheels and 33x12.50 Duratracs on it.
I'll update again soon.

I've been thinking of doing the same thing to mine. I don't really need 2 12" subs & amps back there, just one sub & one amp will suffice. I'll change it eventually, most likely when I take the seats out to install the Explorer seats that I got from Mike. Then I'll have to build me another custom box, I'll build the next one low profile & get some room back there. Thinking of building a storage type unit integrated with the sub enclosure that'll hold the winch accessory bag & some other things. The current sub enclosures are bolted in so it's quite a chore for removal, I just have to get the enthusiasm to actually get started on it ;)

I hear ya. My Ranger is 2 door, so I had to take out the passenger seat to get the box in and out. Not a huge deal, but still a pain.

Ranger is getting a lift next weekend. Sept 17-18th. Doing it at a friends house here in Thornton.
If anyone wants to help out, let me know. We're lacking air tools.
Drinks and food of course provided.
I'll post pics shortly after!

Got the lift on. 3 inch body lift. Suspension lifts for this thing are too damn expensive...

Tires/wheels/exhaust are going on in a few weeks.
After i get those done, I plan on focusing my attention back to the Bronco. Hasn't had any TLC for awhile...except for a new system. Gonna change out my worthless lift on there now for a more wheeler friendly setup.

I have a friend with a 02 Ranger who is selling it soon for a 2011 F150. He will be selling me some stuff for cheap. K&N cold air intake, tuner, Cobra CB, Alpine subs and amp, FX4 shifter, and some other misc mods.
Other then that, I will be getting a hitch on the back, new exhaust (flowmaster super 44 into duals), and possibly a headache rack.

Lets see here...well, I didn't get all the mods I was hoping to get from my buddy.
K&N didn't directly swap. Few subtle differences with the MAF sensor. He kept the CB for his new truck, along with his amp.
I did get the FX4 shifter, 2 12" Alpine type E's and his tuner. I have the FX4 shifter in and subs in, but haven't gotten around to doing the tune yet.
I also took the steps off to paint them.
