my thoughts are

glass
axles
trans (if good)
motor(if good)
inteior
maybe some of the body parts

any ideas on what people would want? what RBV should we aim for? i was thinking a exploder

I think
1) You'd be paying too much.
2) The yards are filled with nice C4C cars.

Parts are hard to sell right now, even when sold very cheap.

He's talking about buying an RBV (Ranchero based vehicle :D ) like a Ford Ranger, bronco II or explorer and parting it out to make a profit.

I would say if you want to do it as a hobby to pass the time, its fine and may even net you a few bucks.

My hobby is referbishing tobacco pipes and selling them. I do it because I like it and hope to one day at least break even by selling the refurbished pipes, but I'm not holding my breath that that'll happen any time soon. Especially with me always wanting to buy new tools to help in the process. (last month it was buffers, this month I'm looking into vibratory tumblers and media to help polish the stems. The list is endless for a gadget/tool geek like myself.)
However, it keeps me out of trouble and like I said, may one day even turn a profit.
I'd say if you like it, do it. if not.
I'd look for more profitable cars to part out. peek in peoples back yards, farmers fields ect for that 50-70's car and sell the hard to find parts on ebay. I could work and could turn you a nice profit.
