I recently purchased a truxedo cover off of ebay for my supercrew ..
the auction had pics of a complete kit ... installation instructions .. etc.

It just said 'used' but in good condition... bla bla bla
it arrived today and wouldn't you know it ? freakin dude didn't ship the clamps that secure the rails to the bed! wtf?
so I email him .. and he's like .. "uh .. what clamps?"
I'm gonna have to take a trip to OHIO and kick some ass now!

Kick his ass seabass!!!
The first step of the instructions that he included say to clamp the rails onto the truck. How're you supposed to do that without clamps?
Sounds like you should dispute the charge with your credit card.

that sucks man! I'm always kind of cautious on ebay, sometimes a good deal is too good.

I'm nervous when it comes to shopping on e-bay. I've bought about five things and only from people that I've heard good things about from other sources.

I only bid on things that can't get too screwed up, like tools. I will never bid on anything electronic after some of the horror stories I've heard. Its also good to keep the 1-800 number from the c.c. company handy and not be afraid to report the super shady ones as fraud. Who knows, they might learn something.

I buy from ebay all the time. I look at previous customer feedback and have not been screwed once. Sure, I might get screwed someday, but after all the money I've saved, no worries. There are always other 'solutions' so I'm not going to be skeered by a few bad eggs. Just My Opinion

Oh I totally agree about buying from eBay .. I've bought and sold a TON of stuff on there.... usually with good results. It just bugs the hell out of me when people do stuff like this guy did. Espcially because when I list something .. I disclose EVERYTHING and even sometimes include 'extras' when I ship out!
100% feedback to date !
At least this guy is trying to make it right ... annoying that it wasn't right the FIRST time ... but whatcha gonna do?

I've bought tons of stuff on ebay too... think I've only been "screwed" once, but like u.c. said, the times I've saved a ton of money and that kind of evens it out. I've got a ton of stuff on ebay and ovften I'll search there for items I want to buy before searching elsewhere.

100% Feedback and 75 auctions. Damn, I only have 100% and 58 auctions. I better start buying if I want to come out on top.
There's another one out there right now. He's selling a billet grille.

It was 10.00 opening bid on Tuesday. I sent him an email asking if I could pick it up locally, since he lives in Parker. He then said yeah, but it'd be 5.00 for packaging.
Well, yesterday, the price went up to 15.00, and now today the price is 20.00, yet there are still 0 bids. Then he still wants an extra 5.00 for packaging.

What a DORK ! $5 for packaging .. uhhh ..hello .. I'm picking it up - I don't need you to PACKAGE IT butt nugget
Precisely why it is still at 0 bids, rather than 1 from me.
