Hey all,

I am new here and thought I would say Hi and introduce myself. My name is Doug, I moved here a year and a half ago and just bought my 67 Bump 4x4 that needs a fair amount of work, but is pretty good to build from.
I grew up in a FORD family, my grandfather had Lincolns and a 64 T-Bird which was my sister's first car. My first was a 58 Lincoln Continental MkIII, which before the internet was a bear to find parts for. I let it go and got a 67 Mustang Sport Sprint Hardtop, 289, C-4, Dark Moss Green with black interior. I had that for 6 or 7 years and when it started to rust again, I too let it go (kicking myself now!) I got an 85 F-250 HD that I drove twice and also sold that. In there I had a Mercedes Diesel and now drive a 2K Durango... I know, I know! It has the 4.7l Mercedes V-8 if that matters!
My F-100 is going to be my daily driver and I will sell the Durango when I am confident that the F will do it's duty every day.
I look forward to meeting yall one day and hopefully get the old F ready for the dirt!

When there is more progress, I will put up pics, aside from the ones on my profile page.

I had strange electrical issues that I have solved, need to replace the firewall cover and put new floor pans in and then a mat and new upholstery and the interior will look pretty good.
I am not going to worry about the exterior for a while, every panel from the "bump" up is dented, it has a 1970 bed on it, the mirrors are wrong, the rear springs are some hack job, the fronts sag and it needs new shocks all around.
Steering and suspension are next, after the small bugs are worked out. My work is finally coming around, so I will be making a bit more money (Thank God!). The engine works well, I think it was replaced, but the carb is looking like it leaks or has a ripped gasket that I will need to replace. I had done plenty of Carb rebuilding from back when I had my Mustang.

Welcome aboard Doug. NICE work on your home page!!!

Between you and 1freaky1, I won't get any of my own work done. I'll be too busy looking at updates from the both of you. LOL

Good idea to check the stroke on the FE engine. After 40 years, anything is possible.

There might be a few stock 4-V intakes and carbs sitting around, help you get better economy and reserve horspower. :D
