Somehow, I think the world will be a better place for getting rid of this behemoth.

That's sad. It's just too bad I couldn't afford one, or I'd buy it before they stopped making them.

I like the excursion, though its nowhere near my price range. It's more for the lady who wants to take the entire soccer team to practice, etc. LOL. Gas prices are probably getting people to stay away from them is my guess.

Well, considering I have 3 kids, that is exactly the kind of vehicle I need. With the whole family in the truck, I don't have room for anything else in the cab, so everything has to go in the bed.

Normally that isn't such a bad thing, but when you talk about strollers, backpacks, toys, clothes, etc..., it gets to the point where an Expy or Excursion would be a bit more practical.

And if I'm going to go that big, I may as well go with a diesel X rather than a gas Expy.

Too bad a 4x4 Conversion van costs more than the X, or that'd be a good choice.

I love our excursion.
It's so nice for road trips with only 4 or 5 people, cause then you get an entire bench to yourself to sleep on. I agree, it's pretty big, but most people agree after they ride in one that they are very nice.

btw, they talked about cutting the excursion a few yrs back, so we'll see if they actually cut it from production this time

Why is it that everytime I tell someone a vehicle is discontinued that I receive that response. "Well, they said the same thing a few years ago" It doesn't matter what vehicle, I get the same thing from someone. This isn't a talking about situation, it's something a public company announced as what they were going to do and why.

It was a great truck, but the damn size of it was just too big. Unless you have 6-10 kids, it is just not practical. Matt has a hard time trying to park his truck down town, how do you think he would be with an excursion? Yikes, watch out...

Shit Rob, watching Matt try and parallel park an Excursion... Grab a chair some beer and get ready for hours of good entertainment!!!
