Cop Raptor

As some of you know I an responsible for purchasing and maintaining vehicles for Adams County, most are cop cars. I use a upfitter (Wireless Advanced Communications) to add lights and sirens and things. They are in Evans and get some cool vehicles to upfit from time to time. This is the coolest cop car EVER!!!!!!!

I think it is for a Indian res and they got it on a government price deal. IIRC, Wireless has a agreement that they can show it at a Cop convention and that is why it has the decal on the side.

it is about time to see something about this vehical with the r&d spent for this vehical and magazine advertisment. I thought the showroom side of the truck was just a ghost cause for the begin of the year you heard all sorts of stuff about this truck and then we heard nothing about the truck for last 3-5 months, kinda nice to see the physical part of the truck on the road instead of an advrsment in a magazine.

There has been some delivered to local dealerships. I saw one at O'meara with a "market adjustment" of $10K. I saw one on I25 a couple of weekends ago too. I think most of these will be sold in states with deserts like Cali and Arizona.

Only seen one, sits in my rink-a-dink town...and sits right next to the liquor store for hours and hours on end, maybe the owners of the store cause they used to have a H2 but haven't seen that for a while

OK, so I went up to Wireless to pick up a vehicle and got to drive the Raptor.

I thought that he would let me drive it around the street but we ended up on some dirt roads.

All I have to say is I will own one some day.

The cool thing is that you can disable the "Advance Trac" stability system. If you push the button once it removes some of the restriction but you hold the button for 5 seconds and it removes it completely. That's rare that a manufacturer would allow that, cause you never know when a soccer mom may get out of control and roll it. I had the button pushed once and it was perfect for going fast on dirt roads. It allowed the brakes to bias to the rear so you can back it into turns like a rally driver. But it would still keep the rear end just slightly out on power exit.

This thing is the first new vehicle that I am excited about in a long time.

WOW, just saw one drive by me at the Ford dealer here, very nice. The tech I was with said " awe that's nothing, wait till next years model. It will have a 465hp 6.9 liter motor with 35" tall tires and 4:11-1 gearing.".

the bigger motor comes in Jan. they where up for preorder last month. thats why we have not seen many yet. most buyers odered the big motor that is releiesed in Jan.

didnt see a cop raptor but saw my first Civilian ride going down parker road this morning. was painted that burnt orange or copper color, looks dang sweet
