View Full Version : Today held a first for me.

I was working in the backyard, moved a rock and heard a t-t-t-t-t-t-t sound. I saw a little bitty snake, right about where the t-t-t-t-t-t-t was originating.

It took a second to correlate the snake with the sound. "It couldn't be" I thought to myself.

t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t

"I guess they do live on this mountian."

t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t

"Good thing my little dog didn't find it."

t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t

Today was the first time I came nose-to-nose with a rattlesnake.

It's a dead mo-fo now!






Of course I took video...:D

Thats wild. My parents live in Littleton and they saw one in their neighborhood one time when they were out walking the dogs... one of the dogs saw the snake and most snakes in the area will just back off or freeze, this one made a snap for one of the dogs... my dad lived in Tucson for many years and instantly recognized the behavior. He took care of the one they saw but wasnt sure if there was more around, but they never saw any anymore.

i hate snakes

I am the same way but I own a bull python..figure that out? LOL I lost my pet snake of three years last month due to old age and a sick feeder mouse from the store....:mad:

I like snakes. I used to catch bull snakes that were longer than I was tall as a teenager.

I sorta felt remorse when I smooshed the thing, but the little dogs are staying.

the only time ive ever been smoked was when a friend of mine caught a baby rattler and put it into a gatorade bottle....and i said i would take it off his hands and give it to my gf (she studies snakes) well lets just say the SSG in charge of the range did not like that...was a fun fun day...

shoulda kept qwiet bout it .... I can see you knocking on my door cause of my extra tanks asking to "watch it" till you can get it wifey.

OH OH OH OH theres a CL add down here that keeps poping up. Guy keeps asking to a rattler. He want to quote "love it hug it kiss it and maybe some day when it wont hurt him sleep with it..."
