Anybody do the Sonic thing?

I noticed last weekend that people do the little get togethers at the Sonic in Thornton now too. There wasn't the thousands like at the one in Westy, but enough that it was noticeable.

I won't be able to do anything this Friday, as it's the first one in almost 2 years that my wife and I both have off, so we're going out, but I'm sure the girls would like going to Sonic if anyone is ever getting together there.

I'd be up for it sometime. Where is the one in Thornton, and what is it usually? Just people showing up, checking out cars and eating and stuff?

The one in Thornton is on 120th, just east of Washington.

Basically, people park their cars/trucks/etc.... buy a drink, and then check out everyone's cars talk about them, etc... Just a mini car show type thing with easy access to refreshments.

Damn I wish my truck would get finished so I can take it to one of these places!

I wish mine were nice enough to be worthy, but oh well, it's the thought that counts.

I use to go to Sonic with a local 4x4 group. We use to go to the one on 104th near Colorado.

Ahh, I didn't even know anyone gathered there. That's right by my daughter's doctor. I've stopped there to stop the hurt after booster shots, but never any other time.

I don't think they meet there anymore. It was a good spot, because there was a lot of room for parking. I think they now meet down south on the other end of the city.

I may stop by, it depends what time we finish at work. I drive right by on the way home. If you get there at 7pm, you will probably have to park next door in the Autozone parking lot. I know the Sonic and Penzoil parking lots are jammed up when I drive by. I don't even know if you will be able to drive through the parking lot.

I think to avoid the embarassment of showing up to one of these in a Buick, I'll hold off for now. LOL. but once the truck is done, you better believe I'll be there :).

Dom, More than likely I will be late like 7:30 or so. I am always late especially if the truck is dirty LOL! If you see me pull in comeover but I will look for your truck as well.
