And you get a rifle!

Recruiters are pretty damned good at covering stuff up. If you didn't have surgery on anything, it doesn't really matter. If you get busted on stuff though that is a big no no.

Personally I'd say Navy or Marines... Less likely to end up on the ground in the thick of it...

What?

I've had surgery on my foot, all I had to do was get my med records, go see a private doctor to inspect the foot and make sure it had healed and developed just like a regular foot.

At MEPS the only person you really have to explain stuff to is the head doctor, which at the Denver MEPS he is a retired Air Force Colonel and a really nice guy. I made it through MEPS without a hitch, all you do is keep your mouth shut, do what you are told when you are told and exactly as it was said to you and they have no reason to DQ you.

And yes the Marines have the strictest requirements physically, unless you are trying to be an Air Force pilot. And at MEPS they do try to keep you seperate into your respective branch because of the difference in requirements...I saw guys going Army that looked sad and pathetic physically.

Due to your spelling of college and wasting I can see that you are wasting it. I find it interesting how going into the mil is a waste though it is only a matter of time with the attitude of kids today before mil service will be mandatory just so we can keep our numbers up to where they have to be.
You were the one whining that at 20 yrs old your dad kicked you out all I did was offer the best alternative

LOL on the misspelling. Actually when I turned 18 I wanted to go into the military... I actually met with a recruiter and talked about some things I might enjoy doing. Unfortunately he said due to my height and bad joints I would have a heck of a time doing about anything but thanks me for coming in... of course if I were 18 again and walked in now I'm sure they'd find something for me to do :).

Spend four years active and your college is 100% paid for as well. They just revamped the G.I. Bill, pays for 100% of tuition at a public university, and throws money at you for books and other supplies...
