Gift exchange for Christmas Party

Dom had a good idea of doing a gift exchange at the Christmas Party this year. I was thinking we could do a white elephant type thing, not necessarily "gag" gifts but just presents that aren't more then about $5-10 and some humorous value is always good :). We can iron out the details at the party abotu how we will do the exchange, whether we draw numbers or whatever, but it might be a good idea to get an idea of who will be bringing something, so if you are please respond below.

I'll be bringing a gift for the white elephant. I will also be bringing some presents for a few members, outside of the white elephant gift exchange.

i'd say go for doing a gag gift type of exchange, they are fun and you just never know what people would bring...maybe a spare tire. I've seen some interesting gifts and had receive some interesting gifts.

LOL I didn't have any good gag gifts to give, but otherwise... I'm cool with that too. I'll be pissed if I get a spare tire though. LOL.

I have gotten some fun stuff over the years. The cool thing about gag gifts is you don't have to go out and buy something, you can just look around in the storage, find what you don't want any more, wrap it and bring it to the exchange. Some one brought a puzzle one year to the party. Everyone thought it was a great gift...turns out it was missing like half the pieces. Another person brought a halloween decoration to the party and ended up being "stolen" from a few different people.

About the only gift i could give would have to be to someone with a truck the same as mine..LOL, cause im a broke ass kid...but i got some spare parts..

I figured the way we could do this, is everyone who brings a gift (wrapped, with no nametags etc.) draws a number, 1 through whatever. Person #1 chooses a gift, unwrapps it, yada yada. #2 can either steal #1's gift (in which case #1 chooses a new one) or can pick a new gift from the pile. Sound like a plan for everyone?
