Hey quick question. My friends 93 Bronco has auto hubs and t-case. Is that controled by the main ecu for the engine and harness? The plan is to switch the EFI 302 and tranny into my 85 but he may be keeping the auto hubs (even tho they are worthless) and we were wondering if me taking the comp would jepordize that?

the auto hubs are mechanical, and the switch for the 4x4 is independent of the PCM. you can convert it to full manual hubs and put the switches for that electronic T case shiftmotor into the older vehicle. I dont know of anyone ever converting to a manual shift T case from electronic. so I would guess they would just put a manual shift T case on

yeah converting from a elec t-case to manual is just bolting it on and cutting a hole for the lever from what ive seen on a buddies truck

Ya but the access panel is all closed off with no holes. And if i haven't mentioned it the donor bronc is staying the same and we just puttin in the 460 in mine. So I need to make a hole for the manual tranny in the access panel.

I was going to switch over the shifter on the ranger to a manual due to the so slow switching of the electric plus I would rather be in total control of whats going but there is no room to put the manual shifter inside the cab with the five speed tranny.

LOL. Well the t-case w/ the electronic shift was torn to shit. And it is staying in the 93 due to the new plans. But the planetaries had no teeth left what so ever and the chain had so much slack when it spun it wore down a piece of the interior of it. The shift fork was also broken. So mike decided to rebuilt it from another t-case that was the same but manual shift.
