I know its been a while since i was on here, kinda had a falling out i would say, and I apologize for that... But I'm back in Texas now, kinda missing the scenery of Colorado/Wyoming, but i'll be back at some point.

The good news is that the Ranger is back on the trail again

Idk what Chuck has said, but I did SAS the Ranger at school, used a D44 from a 78 F150 and got a 9" from an 85 after i split the carrier in the 8.8 in half.

Its got 5.13s f/r, posi rear, spool front, warn premiums, waggy leaves, yoda IFS steering box.. I kinda did a hack job dove tailing it, but the spray in bed liner would have got in the way pretty hard core doing it the way i wanted it done..

Pretty soon I'm going to get some 4" lift bronco super flex? coils and run extended RAs with 3" ballistic joints, then once thats on the body lift will come off and I'll trim to accomidate the 35s or 36s.

I already broke a 44 shaft, well i think the u-joint let loose and the shaft went shortly after, so I'm seriously thinking about doing a 60 since Moser Alloys and CTM's are gonna set me back $1100.. soo idk, the 44's already geared/spooled and under the truck, plus the RAs will be a cheaper easier alternative to 3 linking it with my current resources/tools.

I won the winch at an offroad club BBQ down here, and it got put to the test last weekend and seemed to work pretty damn well, I'll be needing some new cable sooner than later though

Thanks guys, I'm in the process of finding all the stuff i need for the coil swap, so far I'm at 307 on Ballistic and i still need to add tube and the axle side trac bar mount to the list, then shipping.. then another (hopefully not more than) $250 for the extended RAs, then $200 more for the coils and caster bushings.. :protest:

maybe I should do a 60, what do yall think?
next in line is close to a grand for knuckles, a high steer arm, more TREs, tube and weld in bungs..

then $1100 for mosers and ctm's..

*kicks myself*

as my buddy who is considering putting a D44 under his jeep just said, "we're learning the hard way why people skip the 44" haha

nice build, this truck reminds me of the mooseknuckle (adams truck)
Any particular reason that you are doing coils instead of leaves?

because for time sake we put the shackles up front.. that prevents me from taking the body lift off because the shackle will hit the radiator/condensor.

also, i have waggy leaves that are basically flat, and i have to severly limit my up travel (i basically ride the bump stops) to clear the pitman arm..

so between wanting the body lift off, and such a harsh ride i want them gone.. I could swap the shackle to the back but then i still need to have the mondo bump stops to clear the steering..

Once i get the coils done, I will have ~5" up and be able to do my steering correctly. Then once i get all that setup, and a new DD I may run some air shocks with the RAs which will be extended 8-10" with 2"x.25" DOM and 3" Ballistic Joints on the ends with 1.25" shanks

Once all that's done i need to figure out what to do about my driveshaft, apparently i had too much down travel for the CV joint on the t-case end, making the front output shaft the slip yoke on my first run out which is why I'm running limit straps now but so far they seem to have done their job.

Sorry if that doesn't make any sense, I'm really tired.
