Ya, if I had the money I would, It would be nice to have a 60 front as well. Wonder how long it will be up! lol

What is wrong with closed knuckle? I have closed knuckles on my front end now.

i think if you're going to upgrade from a smaller axle, the drum brakes low pinion, smaller u-joints and smaller axle shafts aren't really worth the money and effort.
if your truck has one in there fine.
if you're going to all the trouble to swap axles i would think you would want something a little more stout.

Ya, I was just wondering, with my thinking though wouldn't a closed knuckle be better? I think it would offer a little more protection to the u-joints and dont get stuff stuck in them or something, not that it happens that often. Just thought maybe it would be a little added protection. But, your right, when I upgrade I would like a disk brake and high pinion.

If I remember correctly the closed knuckles have smaller spline count and very weak axles. They are something like 30 spline inners and 19 spline outers. They are no stronger than a Dana 44 - if not weaker. Save your cash. They also have smaller u joints and the knuckles tend to crack.
