Hey you know that i want to get rid of my 02 ranger and get something bigger like a f-series or explorer. I would like some ideas of what i should get. I have to keep my ranger for while because i was laid off but when i get a new job. I want to get something that can hold 5 people.

Explorer isn't bigger than a ranger, just holds more people. Can pick up SUV's fairly cheap (used ones of course, not new ones...) not so much now that gas is cheap again, but when it was near $4/gallon people were practically giving them away.

So can I, but it only gets 11.5 mpg. My Explorer isn't much better(haven't done the math on it)............

Wow 11! I get around 16-17 in town and have gotten as high as 26 on the highway.
Around town I am hauling most of my tools so I always have a big load.
I see you have the V10, I have the Powerstroke with a DP-5 Tuner and a 6-Speed.

I believe the term you're thinking of is "jacked-up mini-van".:D
