Hey guys! My name's James. I'm a regular on several Ranger forums, as well as Dodge forum.

I've got a 1992 Ranger XLT 4X4 4.0 Auto with 187K on the clock, and a bent exhaust valve. I actually got the snow off the truck today for the first time a month, and thought about fideling with it, but I just don't have the enthusiasm right now.

I've also got a 95 Ram 1500 SLT Laramie 4X4 SC SB with the 5.2 and a 5 speed manual, 285/75/16's, Flowmaster 40 series, and some other mods on the up and coming list.

Reason I joined is I'll be attending the Laramie Wyotech campus in July, and figured I'd be close enough to you Colorado guys to hang out and possibly do some wheeling. Not sure which truck I'll be taking down there yet, but I'm sure you guys have some good Dodge bashing jokes, I know I do.

Anyway, all threads are worthless without pictures, and if a few of ya are on RF, you know I got lots of them:

Here's the Ranger first.

And, getting towed home from Levanworth WA after the engine pooped on me:

Now, the Dodge, or the Big Ugly Beast as I like to call it:

Pulling the dent after hitting a deer, REDNECK STYLE!

And that's all. I've got my fire suit on, so flame on for the Dodge pics.

Anyway, hopefully I'll be meeting some of you guys sooner then later.

Hahaha, true, the two strap is definitely 21st century. And I doubt I could have pulled the truck in half....it's only got the 318.

I'm definitely bringing the pole when I come down.

There's nothin wrong with Dodges, the wheels swap right on to a Ford. Now if it was a shivee that broke down, all you could salvage is the radiator cap. LOL

Welcome aboard!

I drove my buddy's '00 2500 with a 360 in it, pulling a 6X12 ft u haul loaded. Loved the truck, but man was it a dog.

I'm starting to get biased towards my Ranger, as I've been sinking money into it since I bought it, but I love it anyway, which is why I still got it. Had a Jeep when I bought it, and sold it about a month later. I've had the Dodge for almost a year now and still have the Ranger, so...hahaha.

Yeah, the 360 is a good motor in the half tons, but is terrible in the 3/4. I'd get the V10 or the Cummins in a 3/4 ton before the 360.

Your truck is actually a huge inspiration for me. That thing is sweet!

How can I not notice that black beauty!

Yeah, TRS is one of the last ones I visit. Jim never told everybody why Ford was going after him. I was very disappointed in the way he handled it, so the only reason I get on there now is to every once in a while post something to Rangerbum, as he's a local.

Thanks for the welcome everybody! Can't wait to be close down to the real wheeling sector of the USA.

What, you Coloradoians can't handle a morning of fishing and a day of wheeling?

Columbia Falls. Quite a bit more north then your Fam.

Only about 20 minutes from Glacier National Park. I love it up here.
