Unfortunately I can't open it until Christmas, but I know what I'm getting, since I went to the Bose store today to pick it up... :)
I'll give credit to my parent-in-laws, because they sent me the dough for Christmas knowing what I wanted. I'm now the proud owner of some Bose QC3 noise-cancelling headphones :)
So, what are you getting for Christmas?

That's cool, let us know how they sound.
Back in my younger days. When I thought the whole point of having ears was to test how much abuse they could stand before giving out, I built my own pair of headphones.
I used an old pair of 70's Pioneer headphones. (the kind with the massive, black vinyl covered ear cups)
From there I gutted the original stuff and installed a pair of three inch, surround sound monitor speakers, ran ten feet of 18ga, speaker wire for each side and finished it all off with a 1/4 inch plug. To power it, I made a small project box with speaker connections in the back, wired to a 1/4 inch receptacle in the front. The box hooked up to the stereo like two normal speakers and gave full power to the headphones.
No sissy 1.5 watts for me! Eardrums are meant to be broken!!!! :)
I still have them somewhere... and MOST of my hearing. lol

I can for now, just because I haven't opened my headphones yet (not until Christmas morning). But... starting tomorrow, I'll be able to tune you out, just like the crying babies at the airport.

Might be able to tune me out, but there is always the old standard. :flipoff2:

It's much easier to close your eyes then it is to close your ears... :)

I got myself the Flowmaster for my Dodge, and $1000 from my boss. Nothing from the fam, but that's cool with me.
