OK, I made the purchase today of 100 lanyards, to be used with the nametags. The price of them, once they arrive (3-4 weeks) should be about $5 for a nametag and a lanyard. Hopefully everyone is cool with that. If not, guess I just have a whole bunch of lanyards to use LOL.

Sounds good, Matt! I'll probably want more than one lanyard anyway... ;)

Depending on the fit, I may buy a second for my work badge.

If I still have a job, I may buy 2, because 1 probably will not fit around my fat neck.

why wouln't you have a job?

oh and Tray, they are pretty much standard lanyard size from what I found so hopefully it'll fit ok. The ones I ordered are a bit shorter then some other lanyards I have had in the past, but what I've found is that if the lanyard is too long (like many are) then it flops around so much that it is really ineffective.
Jeff, I don't think you've got a neck too big for these lanyards... hopefully not anyways :).

I don't know about the job, but there is some stuff going on here today.

I really hate days like that. I can't even count the number of days I've had like that... lets see...
the numerous days we've had company meetings about our financial numbers, discussing the fact of how in debt we were, and how cutbacks might be necessary.
The days I've come into the office and found all the people from HR there before me which is RARE (usually i"mt he first one from my company in the office), and you start seeing people leaving with boxes of their stuff...
The day we came in and found out our companies CEO and President had both been arrested in Germany for insider trading.
Yada yada.
All in all I've survived about 4 or 5 rounds of layoffs, I hate them. Hope it works out for ya.

As far as the lanyards go, they are a bit bigger then I imagined so they should fit around everyones neck. They are 18" long which is about 36" diameter. Hopefully they'll still be effective, we'll know in about 3 weeks :).

Sounds good to me also. I may want 2 also, I have a badge at work that it would look good on! Not to mention one of my bosses is a chevy guy so I can tease him with it.

And about the jobs thing.... I myself have made it through probly 5 or 6 rounds of layoffs. I think the only reason why is because I am second shift and nobody wants it plus the "out of sight, out of mind" theroy comes into play also for me.

yeah thats a good use for it too :). I know I got the clips on these that will hold the plastic laminated nametags as well as my work security card for that very reason.

It's too bad they can't guarantee a job. I've been laid off 4 times in the last 3 years, and any week now it's going to happen again. Just depends on when we can get the software ready for production, then it's bye bye QA team. But, at least with all of the job changes, my new lanyard can travel around to be seen by more and more people.

Now there's a positive outlook! ;) As the song in "Life of Brian" says, "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life..."

The schedule is to have the lanyards in my hands on June 23rd. It might be sooner, might be later...

Looks good, b-b-but, where are the mountains??? Are they not incorporated into the logo anymore?

mattadams

unfortunately when the oval/mountains was put on the lanyards, the writing was so small it was unreadable so I used this one instead. The oval/mountains will still be used for the stickers and business cards, etc.

Solution: BIGGER LANYARDS! :D Just kidding, I figured that was what you'd reply with and it makes sense. Good to hear the mountains will still make an appearance on other materials though...

you want a 2" wide lanyard? You be pimpin, yo!
Just get a big gold medallion to hang with the lanyard and you be pimpinist g in the block.

Or a sweet alarm clock. That'd be even better.

I just received word that the lanyards will be in tomorrow... and as soon as they come in I can start doing lanyards/nametag orders :). I'll try to get them set up on the merchandise page once I get a few good examples! :)
