I checked into my hotel on Monday - Courtyard Marriott in Springfield, OH. Nice hotel, found it a bit strange that when I got ot he room there was a note with two sets of ear plugs. Note read something to the extent of "We understand some people are light sleepers, and the sounds of the city and nearby train may keep some awake at night. To ensure a restful nights sleep, please feel free to use these complimentary earplugs"
Then the first night, realized what she was talking about. It wasn't just hte slight noise of a train outside, it was, about 6-7 times a night, a trains airhorn, blowing for several seconds, about 20 yards outside of my hotel room.
I changed hotels today. This hotel is farther from the tracks, but closer to the interstate. Usually interstate noise I can handle, we will see! :)
