Wile shopping for a tool box here I realized that matt's got a lot crap that has been Line-X ed which re-kindled a thought I had a wile back. Coating my 78' Bronco from bumper to bumper, wonder what that would cost. Any thoughts?

The weight the lining adds to the truck might not effect it because of the weight ittl take out of your pockets. All i know is that its heavy, and expensive, but it is a good idea...ive evan had the thought of lining the bottom foot or so of my truck in brown, and texturizing it like mud or something...

Well if you are thinking of doing Line-X or Rhino Lining, etc. and want it to cover your whole body, get your checkbook ready... between the sanding, prep work, masking, etc. you'd be looking at several grand at least. And as mentioned, it would add a lot of weight... if you wanted to do it yourself and save some money, herculiner would be a decent option, but I think its fairly rough myself, and wouldn't want it covering the whole body myself, but if its just a wheeling rig, maybe not such a bad idea...
I remember back when I had my explorer I asked the guys out of curiosity at line-x what it would cost to do the whole body... they said if they did all the sanding and prep work, about $4000... if I sanded it and they just had to do the masking, about $2500-3000. ouch!
I've had that thought many times. I just figured with as much as it would cost, it'd be wiser to go get a cheapo paint job done at Maaco once every couple of years.

yeah, I think everyone has probably thought about that before.
I know I would like to do that to my rocker panels, but would most likely just herculine it, rather than have someone else do it.

I have herculiner on the bottom of my Explorer. I have been working on taking it OFF. I hate the stuff. Its soooo rough that you could scrape yourself up pretty good on it. If I were to ever use the stuff again, it would be somewhere where I don't have to wash or touch it. Pretty much nowhere...

Really? I thought it was supposed to be some pretty awesome stuff?

I wouldn't call it awesome but I like it. I would much rather save some money and do it myself. It's not Rhino quality but I don't need Rhino quality. It works fine in my 8 foot bed and I plan to use it on future fabrications.
