thanks for the comments guys we are trying to get it in paint next weekend. This is my first time taking on a project like this without someone holding my hand. It will be robyn and I's first time painting a vehichle and I have never worked with bondo or welded but i figure there is only one way to learn. You don't realize how long some of this stuff takes till u start doin it. I think we are workin on it all day friday and saturday as well as a half day sunday morning so if anyone wants to come up i have plenty of cold beer and wil have the grill going off and on all day. Anyone is welcome even if you just want to hang you dont have to get dirty but help is always appreciated. I am trying to make this happen in time for bill moore for her.
I hope.

Good start on the first coat of paint. Is that the primer or the actual tractor paint?
bronc_17113
09-30-2008, 02:40 PM
that is the tractor paint from what i understand no need to primer equipment paint. Im also lookin at repainting it next yr after I can get some proper patch panels what have u to weld into the body

My engine is going to have to wait until after the New Year. It's already been a rough year for vehicle expenses. Have to remember I had to replace the engine in the F-150 last March, F-150 also had body work done in April, and then I did gears/lockers for Bronco in May. I might need the government to give me a bail out loan. :D

Bondo definately isn't easy, I worked with it once and you learn quick you gotta move fast and get it exactly how you want it quickly... you can add to it, but its tough to take it off.

I wondered about that new member! LOL
I you see chunks of hair gone, it may not be the chemicals. It's more likely he's grabbing handfulls in frustration.
Hey Don, you are wearing gloves, aren't you? I'd hate for you to end up like the Herculiner dude.

All I can say is patience.

new seats are out of a late model f150 I believe. You can't see it but I put some speakers in the truck. Still need to get the wires for the lights into a loom and camoflouge the ones around the bumper. I ripped out the nasty old carpet that was in there as well. Door opens the whole way now with some adjustments and the new fender.
