You go out for a night of drinking... End up wearing super-powered beer goggles and wake up the next morning next to who you THOUGHT was a cute one night stand.
Problem is she has a "reverse Princess Fiona" thing going on: Ok, in the drunken glow of night, but turning into a huge, hideous... Thing, by the harsh, hung-over light of day.
You contemplate gnawing your arm off to get away.

This guy obviously had been there before, and knew another drug binge would mean another encounter with the Shreck-Chick. He decided to save time by taking off the arm in advance so he could use the drugs as an excuse.:D
