View Full Version : No radio = scary thoughts

Since I was going to have some work done on the truck a couple of weeks ago, Cory helped me remove my subs and amps. For the last couple of weeks I've been driving around talking to myself. I caught myself this morning talking out loud and then I answered myself. Also, since I'm not listening to the radio, I now focus more on my thoughts and that's pretty frightening.

I've also noticed when I'm not talking, I hear a lot weird sounds from the truck that are usually blocked out by the stereo. Sounds like the damn thing is sometimes going to fall apart.

My stepdads chevy doesnt have a radio, and he keeps talking about how he needs to buy a radio for it....I remind him he can buy a ford, with a radio already in it....but yeah...some 'inner reflection' without a radio always helps too..

I do call myself names when I do something stupid, that should have been common sense. I use "F**k Me" often.

Just cause the subs and amps are removed doesnt mean you cant hook up a cheapo speaker to the wires and plop it on the passenger seat. I can't stand listening to what I have to say.

Your truck actually runs without the stereo in it? I didn't figure mine would make it down the street unless I had the tunes going.

Man I'd hate to see what I ended up like if I didn't have a stereo in the truck.

LOL, I know exactly what you mean. Happens to me frequently on bike rides - especially when getting into a rhythm while climbing a hill. The strangest made-up songs pop into your head and when you think about them later, you're just happy no one else can hear your thoughts! :D

While driving around today, I noticed I was singing the theme song to the movie Annie while I was driving around.

Jeff, you would probably be better off deleting that thread and never admitting that you said that...

Tomorrow will you be reciting the sound of music ? Maybe you can make tapes and cd's for the people who do have a way to listen to tunes?

There's a sweet one right next to my old high school. I can't recall the name of it, but it's about 1 block north, and 2 blocks west of Westminster High.

I rode around with a radio today.

Only because I dropped the truck off this morning to get the check engine light problem fixed and Cory picked me up and I listened to his radio while he drove me to and from work.

Good news, got that part of the truck fixed. $180 later and we have solved a vacuum leak.

Walking Eagle

No, sorry. I'm bad when it comes to movies, music, television shows, etc. I've seen lots of movies, but I can never remember them. One benefit is I never run out of things to watch, because I only remember bits and pieces until after the 4th or 5th time.
