Well, ive been neglecting my truck lately....so now that it moves again, before it leaves me stranded, i think im gonna buy a t-case rebuild kit, and a tranny rebuild kit, and spend the weekend up at my shop at work, and see if i can rebuild them...Hopefuyyl it works, i think im gonna have to buy a book to, on how to do it, and hope that the part time kit in my t-case will work after a rebuild, and wont cause problems if i rebuild the whole assembly except for that...should be exciting to see if i can pull it off in a weekend too...anyone wanting something to laugh at, with ocassionally having to duck and avoid flying tools is encouraged to stop by...lol

Where's the shop at? I'm always game, plus I might actually learn something.

Its way west, in Keystone....good 1.5 hour drive from denver...ill be learning too, if i can get the kits today, im planning on still doing atleast one of them this weekend...thats if i can get them, they might be special order blah, blah, damn mountain stores...hopefully i can find one, and see if i can do it or not. I have motivation to learn though, if i dont do it right, im stuck away from home, with no way to get home

i think the kit i 'ordered' was a shitty kit, so im lookin into the B&M Racing Overhaul Kits...ima gonna see what deals i can work up here...and then call some of the clubs friends and see what they can offer...i think im gonna splurge and get one for the c6 in my truck, and the c4 in my car, and the manuals on how to rebuild them, etc....Might as well do it right, and see if i can find new converters too...here goes the check that just got laid down on my desk :) Ittl be fun though, ohh, and im glad when i ordered the kit this mornin that it was a new kid, and he didnt ask for name and number like hes sposed to on items they have shipped up from Denver, maybe ill atleast go by, and tell him its not what im looking for, i looked it up and its cheesey, and doesnt even come with new bands and such...enough yping time to get to work, just in time to go home.

Ordered the B&M Racing Overhaul Kit for the C6 and the C4, will get them next week..they look and sound like pretty trick kits..got them for about the same price as i could have online, and i dont have to pay any shipping on them...another county employee benefit i guess..might have to get different rear bushings for the C6 kit, since i have a 4x4, but all other parts are interchangable. If i put a B&M sticker on my truck now, I can start a collection like Matt did :fro: If i get the converters and manuals on how to rebuild them, i mgiht do it next weekend.. Ohh heres the basic kits i ordered: http://www.bmracing.com/products/kits_transKit/overhaulKit.html

It hasnt happened yet...i adjusted my transfer case linkage, and it might have slipped linkage adjustment before, and been trying to throw the driveshaft into nuetral, because i cannot get the thing to slip now...but i do have the rebuild kit incase it does screw around on me again. I might find an old C6 and tear it apart before i tear into mine though, just so i know what to expect
