haha not with the current gas prices. but i did take a load of junk to the dump. it handled it easily. also i did wash it and i'm getting ready to put my cb in.

looks like this was a fleet vehicle for the humane society. i can see on the front fenders where there used to be "animal welfare officer" decals. i saw it after i washed it today.

Nice truck!

That should have a Sterling 10.25" rear end, which makes a 60 look small.

a 10.25! yep that looks like mine. i couldnt tell exactly what it was. i havent seen a 60 in real life before. i think it has 4.10's as well. the rear tag was less than helpful and the front didnt have a tag, but there was a inventory tag on the front with 4.10 on it so...

it has 4.10 gears. i also got my new tailgate on today. now i can actually use the bed for stuff lol. probably gonna end up getting 1 ton of rock tomorrow for work to finish our current house. i really hate moving rock :D

I'mmmm Baaaack!!

Truck is still going great, had to do the brakes a month ago but other than that she's great. does have a slight hesitation problem when starting for a dead stop, still not sure what it is. replaced cap and rotor, both pretty fried. kinda helped the problem but not all the way.

What's up Tony? I saw you a couple months ago at the ENT drive thru on Weber, tried to get your attention but couldn't. Maybe I shoulda honk my train horns :D

Haha I thought that was your truck! Didnt remember what it looked like exactly though. Yeah i think the train horns would have gotten my attention, if I remember right they are purty loud.

Hey all,

Been a long time sice ive been here, but I'm coming back to off roading after spending the past few years with the VW's. Picking up a '92 exlporer from a coworker next weekend. He's got 31's on it now<stock otherwise. 4.0 of course, 5 speed. Not much in the way of plans for it, axle flip and something else to bring the front end up. eventualy swap away from the push button 4x4, and throw manual hubs on it. first thing first, take it up to the hills and see where it needs help. And this will be a trail only rig, tow it up with my truck and not worry when something gives up the ghost.

I picked it up last weekend and took it out to my moms house in yoder. the seller, my coworker, kinda shafted me and swapped the 31's and put on some 235's. but it still does alright. was trying it out on the few hills and piles of dirt out east, i think i already grenaded the drivers side auto hub. it came with a set of warn manuals, but im gonna wait to throw them on.

overall it runs great. a little grind going into reverse. oh well haha. dosent smoke, or burn oil. has some bad electrical gremlins but its nothing to diconnect the battery when im not playing with it. climbs sandy hills alright, backs into light poles even better. il get some more ppics of it up in its own thread later this weekend.

Hoping to order up spring perches on this next paycheck. probably gonna bea slow project, truck driving really dosent pay much when you have little provable experience.
