I dont know if I told anyone on here or not but my sis picked up a stray last December, and gave him to me for Christmas. took him to the vet had him checked over, got his tags and shot. he was about 4 1/2 to 5 months old then 33 lbs, hes gotten quite bigger now, this pic was taken in December, hes almost double the size.

I was looking at some videos of these dogs and found this one to be hilarious

I had an Australian Shapard that weighed 82lbs and was a profesional wieght puller. His max was 3200lbs.

I have seen New Findlands pull well over 4000lbs.

I did witness a Bullmastiif Saint Bernard mix (wieghed 185lbs) pull 6400lbs. It took 9 men to pull and push the cart back.

as a kid our ST Bernard would drag us all over the place he was a big fugger too, weighed about 165 lbs. Newfies arent bred for that type of towing they are more of a swimmer. like in this video :D

I have heard they were bred to save fishermen that fall into the sea in the cold ass water of the north

hes been a blast for sure, I have refilled all of the holes he dug out back, he dug them right back up lol. I bought home one of them knobby tires at pet smart. I fling it across the yard and he chases it, then runs back with his head swaying back and forth with this happy prance lol. the potty training has been hardest part, the basement liuckily is concrete and he marked his " special section" I gotta clean it up when I get home from work. the other day I scrubbed it good then put some carpet down that I got out of a house that was in good shape. well he didnt go on it but decided to flip it over and go where he normally does.
He is Very Gentle too. likes to suckle my hand with his teeth, im glad they arent puppy teeth anymore.

Cute pup for sure! It's amazing how strong some dogs can be. And some of the kids at the shelter wonder why we don't want them walking big dogs... LOL
Does Ben have a tag already? If not, http://www.maxfundvolunteers.org/tags/styles.html and can be purchased at http://maxfundvolunteers.org/volunteerstore/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=44

It sure is a good feeling to know you helped an animal like that. I have never done that before. my other pets came from Breeders ( siberian huskies) and the other ones mom got from dumb friends league. this one came off the streets. he knows that hes got it better now

That is a cute dog alright :). Yeah there is definately something to be said for rescuing animals, I highly recommend people do it, dogs really do know they have a better life.

Mike you to feed those lil guys you got so maybe they'll grow up to be a bit bigger.

That is a handsome dog, the spots on his legs reminds me on the border collies, he might have some in him. Best I found to house train a dog if they do not respond to regular training is to crate train him. He wont go in the crate cause he sleeps in it while you are gone, just a thought. He is going to be big, and they are so lovable like a big teddy bear.

Chuck, I have been really busy lately, and tired, I am staying away from the media and TV unless it is am ovie, as I watch our great country run down the tubes even further. but you are more than welcome to stop by anytime you are around. I am trying to stay busy, but always make time to play with ben he weighed in at 96 lbs last week, I think he is going to put another 10-20 on in the next year or so

He is getting big alright mike. a goofball too. He thinks he owns petsmart when we go there. and figuredo ut he gets to go back more often if he eats all of the catfood. He doesnt care if he gets anything as long as he gets attention lol
