OK, some of you may know my fondness for the burger chain Jack in the Box (and many think it's strange). Well, since they left Colorado after the e-coli outbreak in the early 90's, I could only get my fix whenever I visited states like California, Idaho, Texas, etc.

UNTIL NOW!
http://www.users.qwest.net/%7Emountainmediapro/Images/jitb_gldn.jpg

I was driving east on 6th Avenue this morning when - what should I see - a large banner advertising a new Jack in the Box coming to Golden!!! Should be open in about a month! WOO HOO!

Now, some of you may be saying - "Dude, why would you want to eat at a place that had an e-coli outbreak?" Well, first their burgers are the best I've ever had at a fast food restaurant. Something about the fixins, I reckon. And secondly, since that unfortunate case way back in 1993, they've become the SAFEST burger chain (food-quality-wise) you could possibly choose. Thirdly, they have amusing advertising which we'll now get to see (like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIKizLGVtvA).

Anyway, according to their website - http://www.meetjackbox.com - they plan a total of 4 Colorado locations in the near future so everyone can have a taste. I say again, WOO HOO!

Oh yeah, and if you don't like Jack in the Box - I don't care! :D

You put up a thread about Jack in the Crack... Oh man... Now if it was In-N-Out I could see this thread... But not for JITC...

Sacrilege! Take it back! :p

Their ads really are funny. Here's another good one - that even applies to Heath: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3je86z5b42U

Apparently this is a very important eatery to Chris... While I don't unerstand it being this eatery, he probably doesn't understand some of mine... But at least I can relate to that odd little bit of excitement in his head...

Where are they building it, in the middle of the intersection?

It's in the same shopping center as Home Depot and Kohl's near the intersection of Colfax and Hwy 6 in Golden. And as for Heath, you're correct, I don't understand your love of Tastee Freez so we're even...

All I can say is this (and i think those in the Springs can agree ) CULVERS BUTTERBURGERS!!!!

Every time I'm in the Springs, no matter where I am financially I have to stop at Culvers!!! Now, if we could get one up here by Southlands I'd be in heaven!!!

Oh yeah, I've had those too - when I was in Wisconsin for business, I believe. Not bad but actually reminded me a bit of Sonic - except with a buttery/greasy consistency... ;)

I was introduced to them in Mitchell, SD. Stopped at Cabela's, got hungry, went across the parking lot and fell in love with Culver's Butter Burgers. Ate at them all the way to Michigan through Minnesota and Wisconsin.

In-N-Out is by far the best. Any time I go to Vegas or Cali I have to get my 4X4 Animal style.

Damn now I'm Drooling.

I dunno, I had in-n-out in vegas a few times since its cheap and not too far from the strip... wasn't all that impressed. The fries tasted terrible.
But, different strokes for different folks :).

They now routinely microwave their patties and the lower portion of the bun. I've seen them do it - gross. Whatever did happen to flame broiling? Now, however, there does seem to be a "back to basics" approach by some joints - Jack in the Box and Wendy's to name two - of not making your burger until you order it. One of the many reasons I like Jack... :)

I go by where the new jack in the box is being built everyday, and I can't wait!

I thought someone was coming out with an even Cuter-Ute. I was picturing The i-Car, which would be a giant i-Dog with wheels and maybe pedal-powered. Mac, cute, pedal powered and motorized floppy ears. :)Seriously, I still say Griffs has the best fast food in town. But I'd be willing to try Jack in the box.

Whats Griff's and where is it???

Griffs is a hamburger place. Theres one in old-town Arvada and one somewhere further south in Denver. They have a #4 combo. Triple cheeseburger with fries and large soda. Its best if you add chopped jalapenos and bacon. Good stuff! Kinda like a more (but thankfully not much more) upscale hamburger stand.

Hmm, I'll have to try Griff's - I've passed by a few times... At least until Jack in the Box opens.
