I have a 1984 Ford truck with a bench seat that I am looking at putting some bucket or captain seats in. I would think that any 1980-1996 (1997 for F250 and 350 HD) would fit, but I don't know if the floorpan was changed at all in those years. I have also heard that several parts pre-1980 fit, but have no idea about seat bases. Anyone know or done a seat swap? Also, if you have the bucket seat brackets I might be interested in purchasing them.

That sounds like an awesome upgrade. I've found it's hard to get a good deal on new seats like that. My wife drives an '02 with the cloth seats and they are really nice seats, especially with all the power adjustments. Don't suppose you have a great deal on some more seats like yours. :glasses10:

Watch ebay and craigslist, occasionally good deals come up. While most things you can just drill a hole and install the new seats, this isn't always the case, and remember most body frames are structurally based on where they say the seat is going to bolt in, those points will be stronger, so if you're just randomly drilling holes, it might not work. Another option would be to keep your seat frame, but find a way to mount the new seats to that frame, that way you are still using the stock body points, just adjusting the frame of the seat for the new seat.
