1. I have a squeal associated with the AC compressor. It does this when the AC is off, therefore I assume the clutch thingy? (sounds like a bearing) Is this hard to replace?

2. If I do a change over to RE134a, what are the steps I can do? I don't have a manifold for charging the system. Any jelp is appreciated.

Thanks.

The compressor clutch went out in my 96, and I couldn't find just a clutch. If you can find one great. As for retrofitting to R134a, you'll need to replace your accumulator and orifice tube and that should probably do it. You will need someone to recover and evacuate the system to change parts and then recharge it when you are done.

I kinda thought that.... I thought that I could do most of it, with the exception of the recovery thing... It turned out to be the pully bearing. I had it repalced with a 98 used package, and all is well. It went well. Now I can go to ST Mary's Glacier.... Life is so good. I wish all well. and fun....

The pulley that was on it was ht eincorrect one. Too wide. Now it is correct. Man I like this stuff....
