Well I'm one step closer to being at the SEMA Show! The application is filled out and assuming its accepted, I'll be $300 poorer, but the truck will be on display at the SEMA Show, which more then makes up for the $300 I'm loosing (sponsors have already more then made up for the $300). Wish me luck! Apparently they look at the application, the vehicle being submitted, decide what they have space for, and accept those they can.
Wrangler NW Power Products was generous enough to let me put my vehicle in the show under their name. Most other companies already "sold" their space months ago or have plans for their own vehicle to be their "feature vehicle". Each booth at the SEMA show is allowed the option to buy one feature vehicle spot, assuming theres enough spots.

I'll model next to your truck.

sweet! He hee! Actually there is a small (hopefully small) chance the truck won't be done by then. It's going to be close. If its not done I think I'll strangle some folks!

I'll provide tech support. Somebody has to clean all the bugs off from the trip over. Wish I could go, but I can't.

Actually, they have a specific rule for the SEMA Show in the 5-page application, believe it or not, that states:
"No vehicles with body damage will be allowed to be used as feature vehicles, nor will any vehicles in less-then-detailed condition. SEMA is a show for professionals, and no stock or semi-stock vehicles will be considered for feature vehicle use".

Cory's Bronco is far from stock, and there isn't enough money to pay for custom body work like that. LOL...

Yes, but it severly lacks in the cleaned detail area. Although I'm not one to talk at the moment either.

If the body damage was intentional would that constitute a detailed vehicle?
I was planning on going but all my friends backed out and I re-scheduled my vacations
thats pretty much the same as tri-state , who knows maybe ill spend some money on it this winter and make it purdy.....................hell no.

Matt while I'm down in vegas your welcome to hitch a ride with me.
btw have you found someone to share hotel with? If not I'm willing to if you want.
Just watch for him in the lobby. He'll be the one standing like this

While some have touted this as the 'bear, bear, go away', it is also going to be used as the 'come check out the RMFTC truck' while in Vegas.

Mnt, that'd be awesome, what days are you going to be there? I've already got a hotel room, but I dont think I'm sharing with anyone yet. Hotel rooms are one thing I'm ultra cheapskate on, I'm staying at the Wild Wild West for like $30/night. Courtney says I'll probably leave with a few diseases, but thats ok, LOL.

That works for me....I too am a cheapskate when it's just the boys...(have to save the money for when the girls travel with me!)
I'm planning on being in Vegas Wednesday Night thru Friday night.. Basically driving into Vegas on Wednesday and leaving Saturday morning

Like I said, I would be very interested in going...
I would be willing to split the costs with you this or whatever it is that you have planned. I would help you detail the truck too!
My offer still stands. I would also take my car as I wouldn't be able to afford the gas in my truck.

LO I thought you were only joking about it :) But hey thats cool if you wanted to go too! I dont know if mtnsnow would mind but I'm personally not above having three people in a room and one person just sleeping on the floor or whatever. in fact in some of these crappy hotels I think the floor would be more comfy, LOL! If you are still interested let me know.

Yes I am still very interested/wanting to go. Besides, I could use this as a excuse so I don't have to goto Iowa that month.. Plus, I need a little vacation, haven't had one in two years.. lol
I just need some more info on this, like dates, etc.

The SEMA SHow is November 2nd-5th. I will probably be heading out of town on Saturday, October 30th, so I can get the truck set up on the 31st and NOvember 1st and do some halloween style Vegas partying LOL. Then coming back on Saturday, November 6th. I'm staying at the Wild Wild West Casino/Hotel, which is a "station" casino.

Well shit.. Long story short. I lost my drivers license but I have a probationary (red) license and I can get mine back November 3rd and of course as my luck has it, Sema is the 2nd-5th.. I still really want to go but I also need my license back. My girlfriend could drive but then I live the theory of "women driver no survivor" LOL I found out that I can get a round trip flight there through my moms work for $150 so that is tempting also but I would like to have my car there and not a rental. I will need to think about it more this weekend.

Burg, I'd say I'd give you rides around town, but I wont have a vehicle! LOL. Hope you can make it though. I just got my admission stuff a few days ago (my pass to get in, basically) even though if my vehicle is accepted, apparently I get a different pass so I dont need the other one, oh well.

Confusius says, "Better to have too many passes than none". LOL...

Confucius says a lot of dumb things, but here are a few of my favorites I've heard.
"A constipated man does not give a crap."
"Secretary not permanent fixture until screwed on top of desk."
"Man who walk through airport turnstile sideways going to Bangkok."
"Woman who cook carrots and peas in same pot, very unsanitary."
