I'm gonna have to go get some windshield wipers for the Buick. Doh! LOL. I made it into work but they weren't doing very well, I knew they weren't the best, but decided to see how long they would last... oh well.

I always luagh at the folks changing their baldes in the Checker parking lot every time it precipitates. I install new blades every fall when the time change occurs. Kinda anal, I know, but my vision is never blurred.

Rain-X baby, best invention I've ever seen.

Don't even need wipers most of the way in to work.

I picked some up at Wally world and installed em in the parking lot.

Dont feel so bad, i dont even have wipers right now, and it was snowing this morning. I have to change my wiper pivot assembly, which i am really looking foward to seeing as how it is tucked under the dash, behind all the wiring, and behind my heater ducts. Then ill get some new wipers too...

For my truck I use PIAA Wiper blades, which actually ahve some rain-x like material impregnated into the silicone of the wiper blade, so as you use the blade its working to leave a layer of that material on the windshield. You get the same results as rain-x, but without the work applying it!

Because of Matt, I also use PIAA wiper blades. They work very well even though they are expensive.

Rain-X is sweet. It's like a good wax job for your windows. The water beads up and runs out to the sides.

It's great in the snow as well, as it doesn't stick nearly as easily, and when it does, a light brushing removes everything.

FYI, the wipes don't work nearly as well as the liquid in the bottle and a rag do. Well worth the little effort it takes.

I have used rain-x washer solvent in the past, and it also works well. Applies a coat each time you use the washer. Got too pricey for me though.

How long does a treatment last?

I treat 2 trucks bout every month and have had the same bottle for about a year in the winter it is harded to treat the windows cause of the cold so i just get it nice and toasty inside before i do them and treatment length depends on a lot how often you wash the truck and what kind of soap you use.. Zip wax car wash soap strips it pretty good but i hand wash so i just dont do the glass with it..

Thanks again. I'll try that.

I used it a while back, and if you like using your windshield washer fluid, it may smear and make a mess, but i think you can buy an addiditve for that, but rain-x is awesome.
