1on1 Fishing's web page went down. I talked to the program founder today and he really needs to get something going quick.

I have no clue what arrangements he has with the current outfit, but I opened my big mouth and told him I know of some really talented people who do this kind of stuff for a living.

So who can I send him to if he drops the current outfit?

For those who have never heard of 1on1 Fishing, it is a non-profit organization that takes handicapped, low income, and at-risk youth fishing. The participants ride a charter bus to private ponds, have breakfast and lunch provided, are given fishing poles to keep. Adult mentors teach them how to fish, and keep them safe.

My twins have partipated for two years, I started mentoring this year. It is routine to have kids who have never fished, never had the outdoor experience. Having the web-site out of comission is causing some problems. Any help or referrals would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

How fancy is the web page? Is it just information, or forums, or what? When you say the web page went down... did he start having problems witht he programming, or his hosting service, or what?

Thanks for the response fellas! Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.

Matt, the site was pretty simple, 8 to 10 pages of info, pics, and forms that could be downloaded and filled out before a trip. The site was so simple that I'm guessing the server is kaput. He did say that someone in New Mexico was taking care of all this stuff, he's not a computer guy. I couldn't even tell you if he has any back-up of the old pages.

I'll see try and see if he got anything resolved. He has recent health issues of his own; mauled by a bear in May. The medication he has to take just makes for one more hurdle at the moment.

Thanks again, Mike

If he needs hosting, try www.lostinspacehosting.com

I use them for my web site and they are great. Plus its a guy I used to work with who started his own business. I know him, and he is local in the springs. So if I have a bad enough problem, which I never have, I could just go bang on his door.

If its just a simple page and he just needs it hosted, I can do it for free.
