I was thinking of setting up a page with what I like to call the Friends of Rocky Mountain Ford Truck Club. If you've got any other ideas for a name, please let me know. Basically, this would be any business or organization that helps our group out, either through discounts, giveaways at events, or just helping out with the club, etc. This would be a "title" given to them that they could put on their website if they wished to do so and maybe I could even work to get them stickers to put on their front doors, similiar to how a company will have a "Better Business Bureau" sticker or something on there. Right now its just a thought, but we could expand it to businesses that have gone out of their way to help even an individual member out, and would be a good way of promoting the site as well (think of how many people walk into a Line-X shop that have a Ford Truck, if they saw the sticker they could check us out), and it also might give incoming customers to that business a warm fuzzy knowing that a large group of people approve of this business.

Granted, I don't have one of these businesses, nor do I work at any which would qualify as a 'friend of the rmftc', but the idea sounds right.

Sounds like a good idea. Something to keep in mind, if a company gives us discounts such as a Line-X and we ask them to put something on their website. They in return may ask us to put something on our site for giving us the discount in the first place.

Yeah, i was thinking of setting up a "page" for all of our "Friends" such as Adams Polishes, A-Affordable Transmissions, and other companies that have given us "deals" or helped one or more of our members out. A lot of sites have "sponsors" pages but these wouldn't be "sponsors" because they don't give anything to the site necessarily, but they help the members of the site out, so they are "friends".

How would this differ from the Club Privileges forum?

Not much really, except it'd all be on one central location that wouldn't be in the forums, so no lookin for it. Might be something cool for if someone first goes to the rmftc.com webpage to see it right there rather then having to go through the forums, etc.

Good call. My brother has a hook up with a aftermarket oem repoduction place. (Mostly for VW's, but they are expanding.)

He also has a hook up with TireRack.....but I dont know how big a discount.
