Can it be that hard to take a box from one destination and deliver it to another destination without damaging it? I swear... I've had the worst luck with this lately. My hood was delivered with a huge dent and crack in it and getting a replacement took about a month. The front fender replacement I received was also damaged and had to be repaired by the body shop (hell for that I could've just had em fix my old fender!) because I didn't want to wait for a replacement via DHL and deal with insurance crap, yada yada.
When my control arms were delivered a week or two ago, they had been bounced around so much that the threaded part of the ball joint had actually gone through the box and was sticking out. By some miracle though, the parts survived. (I guess Moog makes good stuff! Even if it doesnt get shipped properly! LOL)
Today I received my idler arm (it was actually delivered yesterday) and you would not believe what the box looked like. It looked like it had been pushed into a corner with a forklift. I looked over the part real good and somehow, believe it or not, the idler arm looks to be in fine shape, but I freaked when I first saw the box. Again, I guess moog makes some stuff that can at least stand up to all that UPS can dish out!

Why do you think the shipping companies sponsor or have so many employees that participate in the Olympics?

When my exhaust was delivered I thought Santa was coming down the driveway the way it jingled on the hand truck. I picked through the remnants of the box before I signed for it and amazingly it was intact. I worked at UPS for a summer when I was in High School and the pressure is immense. I was expected to load 750+ packages an hour while checking the zip codes of all. You can imagine how things get thrown around.

I heard the same thing about UPS. I had a couple of friends who worked for UPS while in college. They said people walked around with stop watches, and it was meet the goals or else.

Yeah, I am amazed when I see those guys unloading the UPS and FedEx planes at night. I don't know how anything survives.

I don't think I've ever had anything damaged in the mail by UPS/ FEDEX or what have you.
I guess I'm lucky. :)

Yes, I've also been lucky. I do about 90% of my shopping on the internet and everything has arrived like it's supposed to.

You guys must get some of the better 'receivers' on the other end of the tosses.

When I worked at UPS, I moved out of the way when something was "tossed" my way. You never know what's in those boxes. It seems some people ship gold boullion via UPS.
